Practice practice practice

Playing full tackle in practice is more fun on the table than on the football field.

Lefty found the lucky 7, First Throw. Definitely worth a Trophy photo. Happy happy, off we go 3 or more to the king 13. Ho ho, ho ho off to fun we go.

First explore shot by Lefty was a no go so Right came up with this.

Explore shot calls for aim for the side pocket off the first 2 rails and see where it goes. Lefty finds a little passed the side pocket has potential. A fun study this morning.
Ready set go. Slower is faster.

Cold weather rules said first one to hit it as enough reps for the physical. Right finds the Natural 3 that was there thevwhole time. Plus good speed for a 6 so we pick up sticks.

Is there a reason you keep posting this stuff?? Sheer boredom or what?
So is this?

The Simple answer is therapy and community service and communication perfection. Hence Practice Practice practice. Did you read the title of the thread? Are you off your meds? Rhetorical question. Sorry. Wink. Nice talking with you. Bby bby
So that said, are you giving the proverbial Raspberry?Or mayhaps the 🖕?

I always like to learn. Some lessons cost more than others. Practice table lessons are fun. Knowledge taken to competition is priceless.

Finding my balance is job 1. The balance of the cue . .....in this picture was therapy. When the balance was achieved the thought was, "walk softly".
Precision is job 1.1.
Station 1 is all about balance.
Station or target 2 adds angles and anotherrail interaction. Plus a bridge. Target 1 forces a good foundationand balance. "Walk before you hop, Grasshopper" , would be my Kung Foo impersonation.
.OK so 3 to the 8, don't be late.

I double struck the cue ball, in competition last night. My first shot of competition with ball in hand. Talk about acceleration through the cueball. A real uh, "that doesn't compute", thought as I sat and watched the nice run out.
Hard to trust the program but after my chair bound thoughts were to what went wrong. No Really! What happened? " I don't know " is sometimes the answer. The pep talk is, "OK you know the program. Just execute it to "the best of my ability ". Makes competition fun. 🤷‍♂️ yeah yeah yeah They Won, but I found my Fun. "That's why We call it recreation. " Might be original. 🤷‍♂️ Ronnie shows what a recreational attitude can produce......on occasion. The loses are easier to take too. 🤷‍♂️

Problem solving has always been a favorite passion. Got a good dose of it last night. Once mine was put aside after 2 missed calculated shots put down 0-2 with 6 to be played. A 2-2 split was earned and "well played" at the handshake in the other two that I lost.
This morning workout has served me well. Even on the occasional, "slipped and fell ".

01.18.24: Going to school first thing at 6. Ronnie vs Zhou race to 4. Matchroom provides A1 coverage.
Lots to learn watching and listen to the comments of Grand Masters.

Such good looks of the Master as he performs.
Well good looks at the techniques of both. Can learn watching both. Efren spoke of learning watching beginners.
Wonderful lesson so far. Ronnie gets the first.

My Slow Game has the appearance of confidence. A slow start on a cold morning gets the Yoga stretching and flexing while watching the lesson on the television.

Oh crap the shot that warrants a verbal exclamation!. Then follow it up with the long hard blue. Whew! Breath taking at the elevation Ronnie attains. Sure will pay attention. And Matchroom is very reasonable at 5 bucks a month.

OK the lay of the day with stroke 1 on display.
Lefty finding inspiration puts slow game on display.
As The Rocket shows speed controls slowing in the curves.
COOL, the Grasshopper produces under extreme pressure. 2-1 oh what fun.

Strength and Balance exercise while in class. Gotta love it.
Pretty close
"In a bit of trouble" on the telly as I train the body and brain.

Zhou facing Judge mint day. Doing well so far. 2-2.
Oh yeah Lefty backed the 5 with a 4 after Right blank. 0 serving 9 going 2 rails to the teal stripe 10.

Found an interesting 2 railer that requires a precise strike to the white to back it up off the 2nd rail. Focus on the white as it leaves the tip is educational. Reading the spin imparted to the ball gives good data or feed back.

Well Right proves the sort of focus of mind and eyes on the intimate interaction between tip and ball that produce a 10 point shot.
Gotta call time this morning.

Topic o the day?
Kicks Like A Mule lite. There's no shame in drinking lite beer. Definitely the way to start lifting weights.
Kicks Like A Bunny 😉
Bugs Bunny that is.
Remember the guy that only got one ball for a month? The marble snooker table tombstone is a clue.
Learn to control the white ball and that leads to control them all.
When I was the hungriest I didn't pull the trigger until I knew the ball interaction to the tiny detail.
It sure is a shame they removed the lag from amateur competition. Lag is a good starter training. Duh So I will modify my morning routine. I pro claim 😉 That henceforth all disputes will be decided by lag. Of course opening shot is to be decided the same.

Putting fire power and precision on display, Ronnie is on the way. 3-1 going to 5.
Study Ronnie is my morning task. Dirty work but I somebody? Needs to do it. 🤷‍♂️
What form!
