Practice practice practice

A real work of Art. I will try to rewatch, for sure. Worthy of study. Matchroom is a huge bargain and finals tomorrow (I think). 😉 must be semi-finals. Shrug 🤷‍♂️

Monday already. 01.22.24.
Do the Simple well. So many time s I skim the simple and regret it instantly.
Enjoy the simple is my motto. Kind of like the song. Love the One You're With.
So no reason not to set up the opening target. Uh Grasshopper 😉 I wear my Grasshopper socks daily. So when I hit the Max on the opening stroke. The challenge is to maintain focus to the accuracy of each step in the dance. That exact step is the first to target 2. With the setting the bridge being step 2.
I would definitely devote a week to step 1 just for fun. So many parables from the sour grapes crowd. I don't want to be part of the crowd. If I am going in the right direction........pretty simple conclusion.
My conclusion is, I have selected a sport that has given me what I asked of it. Recreational Challenge. I took up the pursuit of excellence in the games on the table as always more to learn.

OK, the cueball and 13 is the Trophy . The cue is on the first leg of the Z bank to the teal ten ball. A fun shot that trains the precision of the strike to the white. 🤷‍♂️ Be happy, you have earned the bridge. ☺
Z bank by Efren is a favorite.

Oh wow, the extension was because the Right was table hooked. Which led to a natural stance for Lefty and the long tackle with mechanical bridge was required for Right. So I tried to emulate Shawn Murphy as I watched that lesson on Stephen Hendry's channel.......Right maxed it. First stroke using the tackle!!! Sends myself out to the day.

Good Morning! Sun's coming up and cakes on the griddle. Enjoying the funny funny ridle of always trying to improve.
My most recent improvement came from Barry Stark. Using the ring finger as the trigger finger has improved my precision. Makes the cue in my hands more like a scalpel than a bat. It has taken a while and I am still capable of sliding back to old habits. I have developed a reminder for self, doing something I have noticed a few of the top snooker players doing.
Once my bridge hand is set and I start the feathers. A small tapping of the ring finger on the table reminds me that the ring finger on the cue is in charge. Has a calming and timing effect that I like. A Lot!
Ronnie taps the middle finger. The ring finger is what works for me. Helps remind me to remove the tension from my fingers.

A real Gem, described as one of Ronnie's greatest performances. It's unusual to find the whole match complete with comments on youtube. Here it is.
A special treat. Ding shot 97 percent and was still beaten 6-1

Find the balance.
For me it's the middle finger with favor to ring.

Pose. Hold the pose while contemplating.
Wash rinse repeat.

This is 10 seconds from phone to the shot. Base to target 1.
Just for fun. Push button and run. This is where I get with Right.

Well Lefty has been paying attention and laid in a Maximum trailing 8-12 closed target 1 with a 10. Right serving 12-18, going 2 rails to the orange 5.

At target 2 I must employ the exact same simple steps that brought success at target 1. Then set the bridge. What a concept. A good solid foundation makes it fun.

The bridge is a welcome stabilizer.

Watching the intimate contact between the cuetip and whitey provides me data. Entered into the computer bank. Hmmmmmm feedback. Kinda like instant uh Karma? Nah never mind. Butt I do learn more the more I know how that intimate interaction went. Right down to the hair on the balls. Ever notice Ronnie picking nits from the table? Johnny Archer used to do similar. Must be the heightened focus. 🤷‍♂️ I like to bring that to the white and keep it there as it's sent on it's way. Not hard as I trained to hit 90 mph fastballs. I can Shirley keep up with a 20 mph cueball. 🤷‍♂️

This 2 railer to the orange 5 gives me the chance to see how the slightest variation in the strike can yield a big variation in the path by the time it gets to the 5. The speed changes the path as well. Oh well a fun way to get my physical and mental therapy. 🤷‍♂️

Thought O the day. PTP, practice test perfect. Wash rinse repeat.
Perfecting the balance is due at survey. While standing at address doing the Karate Kid Crane stance is fun and encouraged. A kind of test for senior citizens 😉 Done at home it's fun but at the community center.......well gotta be on exhibition some day. 🤷‍♂️ Gotta be able to stay centered while putting it on display. I account that ability for my best performances. The opponent comment at handshake was, "you shot that Left handed". I had to look down to confirm. It was such a long thin cut. ......I had no thought of which hand. The table hook made the hand a no brainer. Shrug 🤷‍♂️ My reply was, "I guess I did." 🤷‍♂️
