Searing Cue

people sometimes just get older and get stuck, and procrastinate.

I was wondering if this cue-guy has similar concerns but it seems he is doing work for others. possession is 9 /10ths of the law and that comment about it being over 2 years and the legal statue of limitations is likely true, it would be 2 years here in Canada.


Maybe someone can ask in person who is local? Sounds like it's a case of being shuffled aside and he just needs a bit of a wakeup call, maybe not a threat or anything to the extent of craziness. Maybe if you just call often enough you'll move to the top of the list, squeaky wheel gets the grease sometimes. Tell him you can't sleep for worrying about this all and it really bugs you so it's an issue beyond what its worth. It's the point of the matter.

If he refuses to answer his phone or door you might ask the cops to do a safety check.

I had to have the cops break a freinds door recently, he's elderly and basically fell into a state of procrastination, I got worried he was in a state of emergency and he wouldnt answer his door.. turned out to be basically laziness and a real slump so I've been worried about him. depression is a common thing. People dont always speak out about it.

Just because he set it aside , may not mean he's completely dishonest or wants the cue for himself.

I'd send a pic if you can. I'm wondering if by now he's just so mixed up he doesn't know which one it is and may not want to admit that?

2 of the reviews were for tip repairs. One took 20 min for a Pred break cue. The other was same day for a batch of house cues. I laughed at myself at the quick turnaround, while his custom customers get screwed.

Searing has stuck me for THOUSANDS. I have hundreds of calls and emails to him, no reply now for years.
He was a friend. Then he pulled a move on me. The mill he uses that everyone is so happy it’s…I bought for him.

Would you like to see what he gave me to complete the deal?
Would you like to see again?……..

Most untrustworthy cuemaker of the last 25 years. There is an absolute pile of unhappy campers.
Just here in KC he has had a Gus of a friend of mine for over 10 years, almost 15. Can’t get a reply.
Another friend here in KC sent his Searing cue back for work about 10 years ago. Can’t get a reply.
This is some of just in KC.

I had his good friends John Showman and Randy Mobley both on separate occasions appeal to Dennis to complete
our agreement. NOTHING!

I had poor communication from
him. Fortunately I never got started. Also had his tips. I had problems with them. I cut off the one I installed and gave the rest away. I mentioned it on AZB. He contacted me after I stated my review/experience. Other wise he never returned calls or emails in reference to repairs and having shafts made. I have no respect for him.

Sorry to hear your. I feel for you.

The pain you must have gone through. To do all that for him and only to be shoved aside.
 
I read about someone that was heating their house by subscribing themselves to mailing lists. Catalogues , etc. Ingenious! the mailman brought all his fuel at no charge, and he was heating his house for free. He set up a private mailbox for his real snail mail.

Dealing with Dennis or any cuemaker. Have a written contract the same as if dealing with a contractor/home improvement. Deadlines, Money back/refunds. I had a situation in writing that played out favourably as the vendor was as honourable as he proclaimed to be. If nothing is in writing forget it. Chances are slim to none. Everyone is our best friend when the check is being written.

I don't know you but with our brief interaction I am glad you guys had it in writing because you seem to be the guy to do the backstabbing.

Many cuemakers will refuse to take your order if you insist on a written contract.

Vigilante justice is what he deserves. I remember seeing photos of him enjoying himself during some event you had I think in your home. In one photo he was all smiles sitting in one of your cars. Really sucks that someone could do that to anyone let alone a good friend!!

Is there not some way a person can prove their monies owed, and then take legal action?
Surely these characters should be black balled? Why do they keep getting business?
 
Does Dennis have a regular job of some sort? I'm just wondering what he's doing with all his time to always be so far behind?
