Searing Cue

I don't know Pete Jr's age, but if you order a Tascarella, you'll get it when they say you'll get it, if not sooner. And their turnaround time is pretty quick all things considered.

They also promptly respond to email and phone calls.
Working with Tascarella is very easy! Just got a message from Pete this morning to tell me a cue they are building for me is done and ready to ship. Nice custom cue with quite a bit of work in it. From 1st contact to completion in less than half the time I've been waiting for a refinish!

I do. I have been contacted by a 3rd party on his behalf. He is supposedly going to reach out to me tomorrow. We will see if that happens. If it doesn't, which I have my doubts, I will post more. Im not trying to destroy anyone online, just want my cue back.
Would that third party be jasonlaus?

Anyone have an issue getting their cue back from Dennis? I sent a cue to him that he received on 5/14/2020 asking for a refinish and another shaft. Was told at that time it would be about a month to take care of. I’ve reached out several times over the years being respectful knowing it takes time to do quality work. I’ve been hesitant to post anything online thinking other cue builders/dealers would “black ball” me. I have text massages to show conversation.

Can you share when the cue was made? His early cues were not up to his current standard, obviously.

It’s been years and OP did nothing about it and this builder seem also have a reputation of collecting cues besides making them too.

I would just call it a loss and move on.

4 years is a long time. That cue is gone.

Could very well be. Sold to someone else. He could have just rotated it in with a new build batch that was being sanded and finished when the OP first sent him the cue.

Sorry man. I hope you get the cue back asap, even in the same condition you sent it to him without the refinish. I hate this bullshit "cuemaker time".

Nothing a print-out of all correspondence (with date/time stamps) and a report to the local PD can't fix.

OP - sorry to hear about this debacle. Hope you get your cue back. If you do...send it to Proficient Billiards. Guaranteed flawless, upon return!

an attorney letter would be expensive and probably be ignored...jmho
taking him to small claims court would be expensive and not practical as you live far away
if a visit from the local police department with the threat of arrest doesnt get you your cue
you probably will never get it.....jmho
problem could be is getting the local police department to follow up on your claim since they have alot on their plate
might take alot of calls to the detective that takes your info

best is if your inside connection is able to get dennis to send you the cue ,,,,,NOW
good luck

I don’t want to say it but quite possible.

Cues get made with confidentiality and a lot of these cues are not seen by the public. It’s like a porn movie you watch with friends. Sometimes you want to watch it privately. With that said it is a possibility. The new owner is probably enjoying it and there is not trace for a cue that has never been seen.

When this thread started I wondered whether it was a hoax or not. To wait four years for a refinish is over the top. The time frame plus the fact the OP did not say if it was a Searing cue or not also made me question the validity of this claim.
