You better have a nice cnc lathe. How you make internal threads with that?

To make your own screws?for external thread. Sheldon one is for internal thread.
Delrin JP's if you can get that 7.5 ish tpiTo make your own screws?
So what use is it. If I'm making radial pins there are much more efficient tools for the purpose.for external thread. Sheldon one is for internal thread.
My setup for live threading on a hightower lathe would work nicely for this application along with the cutter Sheldon showed. You could use a pin and have to watch the limits closely but it would be cheap and easy. You better have a nice cnc lathe.
Can't do 7.45 TPI on any manual lathe
what diameter is that?
It looks plenty small to fit inside a 5/16 plus or minus holewhat diameter is that?
I was just thinking the shank must be at least .250, cutter od looks a little bigger, not much. Seems like a pretty flimsy tool considering it must use a full bit for correct form, being that skinny and that long.It looks plenty small to fit inside a 5/16 plus or minus hole
For shaft threads, you don't need to go more than 1 1/4.I was just thinking the shank must be at least .250, cutter od looks a little bigger, not much. Seems like a pretty flimsy tool considering it must use a full bit for correct form, being that skinny and that long.
