World 10-Ball Championships, Feb-Mar 2024, Las Vegas, The Rio

This channel seems to be streaming the Las Vegas Open. There seem to be some others including Fedor Gorst's personal channel.

Here's another match...

This really makes me wonder what Fedor will be wearing and whether they'll get weird with him about it. Hopefully he has an "Individual Neutral Athlete" emblem handy for his playing shirt.

Said it had to be in the Latin alphabet. So how about covering all bases with “CWA”? USA in Russian with Latin alphabet instead of Cyrillic. Cyrillic “sh” looks almost like a w. So a compromise where nobody is fully happy and it confuses people. 😜

I’m just picturing him showing up with a USA logo and they say he can’t participate with that because it is not his IOC assigned country. They offer IAN patches for a fee but I could see him scrambling for one and they have him on the clock and forfeiting while that occurs.

is he playing the mixed scotch event?

Is there a live link to any of today's quarterfinals, which I'm assuming began at noon EST?

Great match between Styer and Biado that would've been better if Styer hadn't completely dogged those two 7 balls that would've won him the match in straight sets.

wrong thread. although it's likely we'll see it in the worlds too. he knows how to dog it

An interesting sidenote: All 4 of the Women's semifinalists are using wood shafts, and 3 of the 4 men are too. And FSR (cf Cynergy) is out now. Maybe the less stiff (less powerful) wood shafts give an advantage on these very fast tables?
Definitely don't need a powerful cf shaft to move the ball on these crappy Predator tables/cloth lol.
Not dissing carbon fiber, just an observation...
I think that’s reaching:)
