Here are four that I recently acquired and I am curious about their origins, makers and dates they were made ..The first pic with the interesting ferrule is skinny and the pin is in the shaft...The Rich Sneaky Pete I am curious as to when it was made...Wonfeting both about the Bengals cue...The last is just a nice looking cue and it seem to be of high quality...if anyone could help it would be great .Thanks...

lol.

Well Skogstokig, you may be onto something there...Luckily for me I have decent luck with the ladies whether I show them my good or keep them in the dark about my hobbies..

The Rich SP was most probably made in the 70s into the 80s - Abe was recognized for making them up until the 90s when he really was not creating many new cues any longer.

I appreciate it,Mike...
Yes, no problem , I was in Abe’s shop with him a few times in the early/ mid 90s and he was not making anything new by then- my SP orders to him were going unfilled even though he had them written down - age was catching up on ole Abe.

idk, why i read the topic as a justnum thread. dating women via pool cue collecting, that would be a small target group

The first real present i bought my (now) wife was a good cue. I had an old ebony/maple full splice blank turned down by a local builder and matched with a pred 314-3 partial. No sticker on the shaft. The blank is suspected to have been an old trophy blank. Great playing cue.

And i talked about cue collecting on our first date. I will leave hardwood comments to your imagination.

Katie Cues had the first NFL Cue contract. Your cue looks like a late 80's Katie. The MOP bottom Merry Widow is likely a NY Rich cue from the 60's.

nice post!

i tried giving mine a cue, a viking with purple MOP that was actually good looking for being a viking with MOP. it didn't take root. i guess her introduction to the entire scene was unfortunate, because the first time i took her to the pool hall a junkie was lying on the women's toilet shooting up. the second time we played a couples match for a small buck and after we win the other guy flashed a knife and took off. really rare occurrences both of them

Wowsers. My wife loves the game, but similarly, isnt keen on some of the clientel. Prefers to play at home or at somone elses.
