Shipping Charges

Are you the shipper? I pack, weigh and print my own UPS labels. UPS accounts are free. It’s way cheaper than taking to a UPS store
Yeah, I'm curious about the price. I have a UPS Acct but rarely use it. Normally I use USPS and it used to be $15 to $25 ish. I heard they pumped up the price for 30" long and over packages. I'm going to put a package price together for the 3rd cut maple shafts I have and want to include shipping in the price.

USPS did on anything over 30 inches a long time ago, something like $15 off the top, not including the actual shipping charge and insurance fee if included. As of the last two weeks the UPS location here hasn’t done that tho. It by far seems to be the cheapest route still.

Measure the box.. put in the weight , dimensions, address … try it. If you need help I’ll walk you through it. It’s a slight hassle but not horrible. Go step by step. Mistakes can be voided. Or pm the details I’ll see what I come up with.

By printing the label at home the fees are substantially lower. The UPS stores are there to make money. Staples is good if the shipper does not want to print their own label.

Okay, I tried it. I used; 32" x 3" x 3" at 2 pounds.

Not bad - $16.23 to ship 2 shafts with $100 declared value from Texas to Cali.

Does this look correct to you?

The UPS store vs the actual UPS location is hugely different, the UPS novelty store here quoted me $75 to ship a cue last year and the UPS hq location did it for $35.

Here’s another shipping gouge, I took a laptop into FedEx 2 months ago to send back to the manufacturer with a prepaid label and they wanted $25 for the box to send it in 😮‍💨 I said y’all criminals and drove right down the same street to a USPS location and got two flat rate boxes and stuck them together, took it back and said thanks the postal service took care of it 🤣😂

I'm too much of a laggart for new things and I have trust issues..:sneaky::sneaky::sneaky:
PirateShip is just another way to get your label for UPS, FedEx or USPS. All prices are pretty well discounted. You print that label, stick it on the box and drop it at a ups store I don't thing they know or care where the label came from as long as it scans.

In addition, you get to put your addresses in and get prices for multiple service levels from all the shipping providers. I've walked into both the UPS store and the post office and gotten hosed enough times, won't use anything but PirateShip when I have a choice.
