Dufferin green leaf emblem?

I have an old dufferin house cue that I'm planning on turning into a custom sneaky but I really want to replace the red leaf with a green leaf to give it some more individual character. Only problem is I don't have a green leaf. Is there anywhere I could buy just the emblem or does anyone have a beat up old green leaf they want to get rid of? Thanks in advance. --CeaseLess--

My buddy has a good condition one that he claims to be his breaking cue and I've never seen him break with it. I once took it and played with it and one of the best shooting cues I've shot with.
It did have green leaf on it.

Sorry I can't help but that is as close to me knowing someone with a green leaf duff.

Was his a factory dufferin or did he have it cut and made?

Factory butterfly duff.

But he did what you did with a house cue. Cut it up hand sand everything and put a pin in it. Turned one into a 2-piece cue and it shot well too.

I have no idea what the green leaf means though.

I've seen red, silver, green leafs. A buddy has areal nice Canadian-made silver leaf ebony butterfly sneaky conversion. No collars, Meucci pin. That cue plays insane.

Have a Vigus ebony Dufferin butterfly conversion available if interested. I cant remember it the leaf is white or silver. Never mind, it has no leaf. LOL

There are also black.

Around here where Dufferin cues are very common you see them all.

I modified a machine for Dufferin about 25 years ago (when they were still in Canada). They had many different colours (correct Canadian/British spelling). The one you can't see is black. Also have seen Green, Silver and Purple.

My buddy use to work at dufferin when they were making them here in canada. I think posted something years ago in the canadian forum that isnt used much here.

Anyway, the emblem doesnt really mean anything. They tried to standardize a colour for a specific model for consistency but you can find the odd model with a different emblem. Red is the most common, but the emblems are not really considered that special. Any of the canadian made full splice butts can make a great conversion for a sneaky.

I have a unique ebony, curly maple with the white snooker wedge out for convesion. The guys in shop would sometimes make one ofs for fun. Check out that curly maple.

They did them on on special addition snooker cues. Only place I saw them was in the factory in a loose bin. Never saw one in a cue so I asked.

I just acquired an ebony, green leaf , full splice Dufferin with the single white butterfly splice in the butt sleeve area and the joint screw in the butt end- one of the true wood to wood JPs made way back by Dufferin, they came with wood piloted shafts with the rubber bumper that had the " made in Canada" print. I got mine from a guy in British Columbia, Canada.

I plan on pairing this butt with a matching Predator Z3 S tuned shaft that I already own- this should make a terrific SP - the ebony full spliced Dufferin SPs are the most expensive on the market when converted by named cue makers- I saw one last week with an asking price of about $1100- I think that is was a Larry Vigus.
These Green leaf Ebony Dufferin true SPs are just so cool- I also have an original Dufferin soft cue case- some of these were made very well back in that time, and the original wood pilot shaft. - they are just an iconic part of a certain pool era here in the U.S.

I would love to see that. Even here in my area which is full of dufferind i dont see green leafs often and all the ebony/maple i have seen i white leaf. I have ebony conversion being done right now, hopeful i will have it back by end of summer.

I saw a Virgus conversion posted in the for sale area, but i didnt really like the way it was done. I saw a really nice joeyincali conversion precovid i think that i would have bought on the spot, but was sold by the time i saw it.

I will post photo when I receive it next week. I got it for only $70 U.S. this week as the seller seemingly had no idea that a cue like this is scarce and desired for conversions - I just came across it as it was posted with a buy it now

My mistake- I believe that the cue I bought is a SILVER label Dufferin, ebony, full splice, joint screw in the butt end true SP, with a piloted shaft- I just looked at the pics of my purchase- will arrive Monday and will post photos next week

I realize it’s an older thread ….Long shot. Maybe a pen turner can print a Dufferin Green and cast it with clear acrylic. I can ask on a forum if still interested.

I am still very interested. If you could ask that would be great. But what's a pen turner?

Pen makers. Use a spindle lathe to “turn” (trim wood, acrylic). Some of these people cast custom blanks. The material for the body of the pen

Here is my Silver Leaf Dufferin, Ebony butt and points, butterfly butt sleeve, I just got it from a woman in Canada who found it in an estate sale in mint, unused condition! All wood to wood- pin in the butt- I replaced the pin 5/16 14 and added my own custom shaft - still have the original shaft and Dufferin case- YES it plays very much like my FRYE SP-- and the best is that I paid the woman $65 U.S. for this cue two weeks ago!
