WPA wrong ball pocketed

WR
The only rule close to BIH is when you play 10 ball and pocket the wrong ball without making your called one. Then your opponent can choose to shoot or have you shoot. Every other game it’s ok as long as you hit your ball first.

Watch out when playing 8 ball in America. When people say BCA rules. Make sure which ones they are talking about. Some people play BIH when you scratch on the break instead of the correct way which is in the kitchen.😉
WRONG

... Silly bureaucrats politicos at WPA and the other English 8B associations will not unify and instead mess things up with their different sets of rules
Their mantra is If you cannot join them, confuse them
I guess the UKers made up "English 8 ball" rules to retaliate for 'Merkins making up American snooker rules. I don't see a need for either one. Maybe someone wanted to avoid copyright issues.

What’s wrong? BCA and WPA rules are in the kitchen. Bob Jewett explained this before bcapl rules are BIH. Not the same rulebook. You notice I put bcapl in lowercase. That’s was intentional. I think ball anywhere is ridiculous.

If you’re referencing the fact, I didn’t say you if you hit your ball first and and then make a different ball unintentionally in 10 you’d be correct in saying wrong. That was just implied by my statement though. Everybody knows the rules of 10 ball.

Do you remember where Bob discussed these rule differences? I want a reference for a team member. tia.

The CSI rules (BCAPL, USAPL) are on the CSI website:

The WPA rules are on the WPA website:

I guess this is about scratching on the break. CSI is BIH anywhere and WPA is behind the line.
