Does this look like a real Scruggs to you? I haven't seen points like this on one.
Thanks. I had a TS sneaky with a similar looking logo years ago. The pilot on the shafts look ok for a Scruggs. I'd also be interested in more opinions. It’s not the points that concern me as much as the TS logo. It resembles what Tim used during his career.
The loops on the S look too big & the criss cross of the T & S seems off. Let’s see how others view this cue.
Probably the seller 'borrowed' the images from the real owner to use in his scam attempt listing. Thanks all. It may have been a real Scruggs, but the online ad that it was on was taken down for being suspicious. The person that advertised it was asking for payment outside of the website. Apparently the site has been monitoring the user already.
Yes, can be used in that capacity. It can also be, the customer likes the astetics of it. For example, some Cats love box cues, but every time I see one I throw up in my mouth a little. Brian. Is it true that arrowhead tips are used to cover up uneven points?
Not with a talented cuemaker such as Tim Scruggs. Maybe some others, but very talented cuemakers put arrowheads, and dots above the points. Even Gus Szamboti put some dots on top of points in some cases. Is it true that arrowhead tips are used to cover up uneven points?
I’m not buying it.Good to know. Thanks all.
Are you not buying that some customers when ordering cues would sometimes request spears, arrowheads, dots or some other adornments be put at the end of the points? Tim, Gus, Barry and a host of other cuemakers def have done these.I’m not buying it.
If they ain’t clovers, I’m not buying it.Are you not buying that some customers when ordering cues would sometimes request spears, arrowheads, dots or some other adornments be put at the end of the points? Tim, Gus, Barry and a host of other cuemakers def have done these.
yes, some less talent cuemakers have used these as a way to hide poor work.
No disrespect Chicken. Appreciate your posts more than most. Are you not buying that some customers when ordering cues would sometimes request spears, arrowheads, dots or some other adornments be put at the end of the points? Tim, Gus, Barry and a host of other cuemakers def have done these.

You are apparently unaware, that Gus Szamboti sometimes put dots on top of the points of his cues. Very fancy cues in some cases. Are you as uninformed as you seem to be?No way any cue builder said they built any of that crap on top of points unless they were flawed. Common sense, says so. You don’t destroy perfection unless it’s not to your standards. A tribute cue yes, cause the original would of went in the trash.
