This is going to be successful if they can get a regular schedule going..if they can get it on TV or a major streaming service this can save pool
They are the official rules of the WEPF, which in some ways is a competing body to the WPA. This is the WEPF trying to expand out of England, Ireland, France, etc. I don't think they're trying to "Americanise English pool". I think they're trying to form an international rule set that people from any pool discipline would be willing to play and which is optimized specifically for 7ft table 8-ball.The rules are not official in the sense that the WPA approves of them. "Official International Rules" in this case means the private rules of the promoter.
I think it's not just no jump cues. I think jump shots are not permitted, just like snooker.Ironically, no jump cues makes the event more interesting. Mistakes are punished harder. Safes require a little more talent to escape.
I think everyone's hopeful he's coming back between this and the action match with Bustamante. But I wonder if there's no point getting our hopes up. This could just be serendipity that both events only required him to drive a couple hours and perhaps has no bearing on his participation in the pro scene going forward. But here's to hoping.justin bergman will be playing the next one
