Straight rail tournament at star billiards August 23-24

@pvc lou
corners size
why important ?
It’s the classic traditional way of training in Europe
Smaller table has small corner lines, 8-9ft
10ft has the lines drawn about 2 diamonds up the king rail to 1 diamond on the short rail
Walking the line/turning the corner is an INCREDIBLE talent

I only watched a little bit
But that was mesmerizing
Thanks for the link👍

Thanks for the tip. I watched a match by Thinh Kent and that was interesting. He has fantastic touch and a great instinct for staying on the favorable side of the third ball. The first fifty or sixty points looked more like balkline 47/2 (which he is already good at or could learn in no time) and the remainder was Serie Americaine, where he proved to be very skilled with the "ultra-short cue", sometimes both hands on the shaft! It's really sad that there have not been proper world championships for these disciplines in a long time. The reigning world champion in the free game is... Raymond Ceulemans. Not kidding.

It's a Janus dumb dumb thing once you can run out all day everyday at straight rail, bro. Duh!

As as expected, Thinh won easily, it was a race to 350 and his opponent got 50 points handicap, 20 innings. Probably no one in the US can beat him if it's that long of a match. Maybe a race to 150 points, 20 innings then others would have a chance.

This was a good game, if you have facebook you can check it out below. Ran out of battery before the game ended. The older player won. There were about $50k side bet on it.
