Can I add a third nail in my pockets? Pics included

Ok so my pockets sit flat on the rail as seen in one pic. Whenever a ball goes it it pivots on the two nails and lifts, as seen in the other pic. The third pic shows the two nails in red and my question is could I put a nail in the green spot? I'm worried a nail there could scratch the balls. Or is there anything else I can do? Or is this normal for these style pockets? Thanks as always!

A nail where you are proposing will eventually gouge your balls. The nails you have in there now are somewhat shielded by the facings. As recommended above, I'd try adding a couple below the existing nail. This might stop the liner from pivoting.

Got a hot glue gun?? You could use a little hot glue behind the area where you want to add a nail. It should be strong enough to hold the pocket in place yet weak enough that you should be able to remove the nails and pull the pocket out when needed. It usually cleans up with a razor and if your careful you wont harm anything.

Also if you ever need to remove it isopropyl alcohol does a great job, it breaks the bond and the glue comes up in one piece.

I am in no way a table mechanic, but I am thinking of a 2nd and 3rd nail, one below each nail that is already there. This, I think, would make the pocket liner more stable inside the opening and stop the "rocking" when a ball enters??? Just my thought.
This is correct.

Just add a second nail on each side, toward the bottom of the pocket facing.

No. Four nails, is the correct answer, here. One directly under the nail he already put in the left side of the pocket, and one directly under the nail he already put on the right side. Nails three and four will stop the pocket from rocking back-and-forth, which causes the back/top of the pocket to raise and lower. They will also help hold the weight, in situations where there are four-or-more balls in a plastic drop pocket. With all of that being said, make sure you're putting four nails in your plastic pocket liners, too. They will also rock back-and-forth, if they only have two nails in them.
