Highest number of rack run in a row in 9 ball.

I am interested to know what is the highest rack of nine ball you have run in a row.

Larry Nevel once told me he ran 13 racks in a row...and he has done it twice.

I heard from my friend that Neil Feijen has ran 17 racks in a row, which is supposed to be a record.

I watched a match in Japan featuring Pei Wei Chang and this Japanese player whose name escapes me. I cannot remember the exact details but it went something like this: Japanese player ran 4 racks, Chang ran 5 racks, then Japanese player won the next rack, then 4 in a row and won the match 9-5.

Racks run

Keith use to bet the bar that he could run 10 racks on the bar table. I heard that he did it many times. I know that Al Romero told me that he played Keith and after they flipped the coin that Keith ran the set out, I think it was a race to 10. They flipped the coin again and Keith ran 7. Then in the next game Keith hooked Al. Al kicked at the ball then Keith ran out the set. Al said that was enough for that sesion. From what Al told me Keith ran 17 in a row.

I am not going to tell anyone my high run. I can not run 3 balls. LOL I am to busy working on tables instead of playing on them.

I used to play with Lil al, and underdog, Hawaiian Jimmy, rude dog, Ernesto Dominguez, kieth/Mark mcready.. my name is Mark brookes, I ran with ante rossini, aka rosebud. All we did was gamble lol. Hard times billiards.

Keith was always high on speed, bartable is smaller, higher chance of clustered balls. It's easier to run out on a 9ft...

Never heard/read of any official 9b rack total. 'Ol newb is on his game comin' with a EIGHTEEN year old thread re-boot. I'd bet pretty good that someone's run more than that somewhere.

Welcome to AZB.

There was a video of Chang running 10 in practice. Obv no pressure there but fun to watch. Lots of firepower.

Here's Berman with a 18-pack, in video and in (minor) competition on a barbox:

[not saying this is a record, but it's on video at least]

And remember, bar boxes are much tougher than 9-foot tables due to the crowding.

Amazingly, the first 14 racks he had a shot on the 1 ball into the upper right pocket. It's like he planned to do that.
Not playing 9ball they're not. I've seen LOTS of 8+ packages run on bb's. 9ft is WAY tougher. 8b on a bb IS tough due to traffic.

Soft break, pattern rack. Don't count.
Yes, no chance to see that with the WNT break rules. Or at least, I'd bet against.

But the previous high run packages may have also had asterisk items associated with them. Earl's famous 11-pack had more than one nine on the break.

i think three 9's. should count, at least in my book

big packages come from easy pockets for the break.
on todays tight pockets with a wooden rack you wont see any big packages. which shows that stuff is equipment affected.

on bb good breakers make one to 3 on every break. easy runout after that.
