I started practicing 3c for a tourney in January and this shot came up. Allen showed me this many years ago, but I never got the hang of it so I thought I'd give it a try again. It took me about 7 minutes to get the hang of it.

The first ball hit is about 1/2+ diamond from the long rail and nearly frozen to the short rail. The second ball is off the short rail 1 1/2- 2 balls a little over 1 diamond from the long rail. Sorry the angle is not the best, but it's still fun.

The first make is 3 cushions due to a double kiss, the second is 4 cushions and the way I remember it. Enjoy.

Clever shot Dave, and nice to see Dollar Dick in the background. Tell him I say Hi! What's the tourney in Jan.?

Thanks, Richard, I'll say hi to Dollar. The one in Yuma, AZ that Mazin puts on. Not sure of the dates. Will you be there?

Dave, Glad to see you're Tricky!
Very cool solution!
Thanks fellas. I decided to take my tripod to the senior center for the first time so I can see how bad my stroke was. I'll try to capture some interesting shots, but my game is not that interesting lol.

It's not the best angle for video, but this is the senior center so we need to keep the isles clear for wheelchairs and walkers as this table is near the bathroom and shuffleboard courts. So I decided to keep it out of the way.

nice shot dave
since you know i am not a 3cushion player this may be a stupid question
but i thought a tiki was when 2nd ball (cue ball 1st ball ) was off the rail 1- 1 1/2 ball width or so and the cue ball goes rail ball rail within that space and then gets to a 3rd or more rail to make the billiard on the 3rd ball
with your ball 2 frozen to the rail
why do you call that a tiki shot?

For lack of a better description. But you're right, but no limit to distance off the rail.

There's '2' ways this 'Ticky' can be made.

The first has the CB contacting the long rail then, contacts the 2nd ball sort of 'more than half full' on the 'wrong side' of the 2nd ball.
This causes a 'Kiss' off that ball back to the 'long rail then short rail' to score the point!

The second is by the CB contacting the 2nd a, 'little less than half full' causing the CB to contact the 'short rail, long rail and back to the short' rail to score. The second method requires the CB be contacted 'above center' with either 'left or right' effect.

That is very nice, Bob, thank you. I mentioned your post to my wife and she said send money 😂🤣.

I'm too old to be sponsored as I fade out after a couple days, but I like to go play every now and then to keep my retired a$$ busy. But really, thank you so much.

If you or someone else wants to sponsor a great player, Luis Suarez who now lives in the Denver area is a very strong player from I think Columbia. He doesn't speak much English but I could hook up whomever is interested with him. Luis is a very nice man.

Thanks again for the thought.
Dave

Lol, Come to Yuma in January, I'll buy you food or drink. I miss Dennis. After the tourney my wife and I will be staying in warm weather for a couple of weeks (San Diego and maybe Scottsdale area).

Thanks again.

I just got a call from Mazin this morning saying they are increasing the # of players for the Frank Torres memorial tourney in las vegas mid November. I was on the wait list since Frank was an old friend. Now I really have to step up my practice.

Maybe I'll see some of you there.

There’s a senior center at Del Web in Sun City that has some 3C tables and 9’ers. I played Frank Almanza some 1P there. Tres also goes there for 3C.
