Bob Runde Repair

If not contact Cody Cash, PK Custom cues, for a refinish. Super guy to work with and does fantastic work. Bob is still working afaik but have no clue on repair turn-around times.
My understanding is Bob takes on very little work these days and is mostly retired, building a few cues still as he wants to. I doubt he’d be looking to get into repairing an older Schon.
I’d suggest contacting Schon or just a good cue maker, like garczar suggests.

Yes. Proficient Billiards. Usually a two week turnaround. Expert in repairs since that is most all that they do. They work all the time, not just when they feel like it!
Don’t cut yourself short…..No one speaks for Bob except himself.
For all any reader knows, Bob might enjoy restoring one of the
older Schon cues, maybe he even recalls it. None of us know how
Bob feels about repairing a cue from the past and I’d still contact
him and include photos too. It might wet his appetite to tackle it.
But as others have posted, Proficient Billiards does excellent repairs.

It cannot be said enough. Proficient Billiards has it going on. It is a real bright spot in our world. But, I don't want to get out of line, because it is not the only good shop out there. We just hear about all of the donkeys. I particularly like two things about it and Scott 1. I can recommend them to anyone for anything without having any second thoughts, and 2. I can communicate with them, pack and send the cue, and forget about it. It will be home, fixed, before I can have any worry.
i dont think inlays should ever be popping out at all. that means a poorly made cue. no matter who made it.
and a cuemaker may not understand the repair of a cue as much as a cue repair person.

Maha, I disagree about cue makers not understanding the repair of a cue, at least some.
But I heartily endorse Proficient Billiards for their professional cue repair workmanship.
IMO, on their best day, PB wouldn’t do a better repair than Bob Owen would. Now their
turnaround time is likely faster but the quality of the repair wouldn’t be any better than his.
And Mr. Owen isn’t a rare case. If you can build a car, you know how to repair it. The same
applies to talented cue makers. Yet, in both cases, it doesn’t mean they could drive or play great.
Cue makers should understand the interrelationship of the component parts comprising a
pool cue’s anatomy. Why? They created the actual product from its inception to completion.

I agree! Inlays shouldn’t be coming out at all, especially on a Runde.
