Which DP cue please?

Didn't know he had an 'era'. I guess there is the early customs before he started making a lot of them. No clue as to the pin. No way to tell from that pic. Most used a Radial. This looks like one of basic cnc later cues. They almost all had radial joints. Most sold on fleabay for less than 200bux.

This pic looks like one of Dale's E Bay era cues- but that cannot be certain form one photo- his e bay era cues- starting around 2007 I believe, mostly had a radial brass pin from what I have seen and I also owned one of them. His prior era, "custom" stock used various pins including late 90s uni lock pin joints- I had one of those too.
The E bay era cues played good to very good from my own experience and what others related to me. His pre 2005 cues were very good players with great construction- lots of them included ivory ferrules, some had Cortland linen wraps, and the woods chosen for the cue butts were high quality exotics like Zebrawood.
His e bay era cues in very good condition get about $200 to $300 or so today. His older cues, if in great shape , are true bargains in the $400 to $600 range or perhaps more depending on complexity.
If the notched diamonds are ivory, or if this pictured cue has a uni loc joint- it would definitely be pre E Bay era.

Wow. Not random or pointless I just wanted to know if it was an earlier cue or a later China made but there’s always some smart remarks.

AFAIK all his cues were made in the US. He had a big CNC set-up and he could crank them out. I think Dale said on more than one occasion that his stuff was all made here.
don't waste time on that guy. he's what's random and pointless. just toss him on the 'Ignore' pile. You'll thank me later.
As far as I know no Dale Perry cues were made in China. The eBay era cues were made by him personally in Florida, according to Dale himself. I don't know much about his earlier customs, but it seems highly unlikely that the high end stuff came from China when the low end goods were US made.
As to this particular cue, if it is an eBay era cue I think it would have to be from early in that era. I followed his cues on eBay for several years before he quit, and I don't remember any of them having notched diamonds. Solid diamond shaped inlays, yeah, but not notched.
By the way, I have an eBay era DP cue as my main shooter. I have several other brands/makers that cost more, but mostly they just sit in my closet now. I bought the DP a few years ago for $180, planning on raffling it off. However, when I got it and test hit it, I knew it was a keeper.
