Tiger IB+ Material?

Thanks for the info, definitely appreciate the input! I might try some different tip combos (maybe even some type of pad as well) to "quiet" the shaft down if possible before I try a different ferrule material I recently had an athlete soft installed on my ignite as well and it doesn't feel as hard as the one on fortis either, I'm scared to put on my favorite the Zan Hybrid Max in fear its going to feel like a brick and sound like throwing marbles at concrete lol. I love the taper and the "power" of the fortis pro so far deflection very low as well just trying to getting more of the feel I'm looking for with it.
NP man anytime, and yes can always try putting some orange Juma or and color really as a pad to possibly soften it up. I never tried the Athlete or the Hybrid max. I jumped away from Kamui ages ago cuz they glaze so nasty, actually the only black tip I seem to have zero issues with is the tiger Onyx. As for the Zan tips I was in love for years but they have gotten so expensive and harder to find, My favorites were the normal Softs and the premium softs, They hit firmer anyway. I can highly recommend the SIB tan Pro 3 for 20 on ebay I think and Tom hays ultra skin black pro ( black tip but its pretty good IMHO ) they both hit great on the Fortis leaning more towards the SIB tan Pro. The SIB Cool blue is a great tip as well and remind me a bit of Zan on the feel not just because they are blue lol! Let me know what you end up trying and give some feedback on the results please!

Ok so the first tiger fortis pro shaft I had developed the rattling noise inside. If you shook the shaft when not attached to the butt it made a sound akin to when a small pebble inside a glass bottle, the shaft was only a week or 2 old I told the seller and they exchanged shafts I did have to eat the new shipping costs both ways but that’s ok. The new shaft came in at 3.95oz as opposed to 3.70 of the old one. This one hit more solid to me in general and didn’t make any of the noises the first one did. I tried playing with the onyx but the tip played much softer then I’m used to and seemed very low to me for an “new” tip it also would move when pushed on the sides. I then went down a rabbit hole of info before settling on Zan medium to get the feel and sound (or lack of sound for that matter) but to my surprise the biggest factor to the shafts noise was actually changing glue!! I was using Loctite ultra gel control for a long time I did this experiment with this single shaft as a test subject. Long story short, 3 zan medium tips installed total 2 with the Ultra Gel Control and installed with (insert drum here)…Loctite Professional Liquid. When I installed the first medium that noise I hate was back and was beside myself thought maybe I had a bad tip, changed it with the Loctite gel control after some break in, same thing again I was beside myself with the annoying noises that I cant stand, I didn’t want to go to a softer tip as I’m used to medium firmness and I know there just has to be something wrong install wise, I’ve noticed with the gel control you can see visibly and thin glue layer between tip and ferrule. I scoured the forms on which glue and stumbled across many who use the Loctite Pro Liquid, and bam crisis averted (for me at least lol). It doesn’t leave the layer of glue that can be seen, I noticed the glue “absorbs” better into the glue layer doesn’t seem to harden that layer much either, after a full break in period the tip, shaft and glue are doing everything I want/need it to do while being a joy to use and the best cf I’ve used and played with after trying majority of them, the mezz ignite being second to this shaft but my comfort level with the fortis pro is just so much higher and “feels” significantly better then all of the others to me. The glue is also incredibly impact resistant as I also used it to install a break tip and “knock on wood” no issues at all when I’ve popped off multiple with gel control. Thank you for your input and advice and thanks to AZB for have such info available.
