TAOM V10 BLUE

These chalks are ok but not that great in the summer or a warmer room. It cakes up. One or two swipe(s) when applying the chalk will do.

It goes on easier with soft tips and much more effort on hard tips.
The only chalk that seems to go on easy on my break cue is kamui which I stopped using because I got tired of cleaning off the cue ball all the time.

I used Taom Blue V10 for the first time last night. It did actually seem slightly grittier than green V10. I thought it went on the tip just fine, however, and seemed to stick a wee bit better. Not a huge difference to me. I do like that green seems to go on smoother.

I like both V10s over Pyro.

Like many others, I switched to Taom because it makes so little mess. I think the Kamui Roku is similar in that regard.

If you don't like Taom, but want little mess, the Roku might be the next best bet. Far less messy than the original Kamuis. Goes on easy and feels soothing to apply. Does leave a bit more residue on the white ball than Taom, though.

They are good chalk but from my experiences, warm room meaning summer time, it feels like cake. Imagine women's makeup. The stuff they cake their faces with. It is very easy to apply by one or two swipe(s). A chalk is a chalk is a chalk, while true, but the difference is how clean these Taom/Pyro chalks are. This is what I like about it. Light color and formula keeps the table, hands and shafts clean.

$25-$30 isn't a big deal considering, if people pay attention, it lasts a long time.

100%. Doesn't make a mess of your hands, table, shaft, case and it lasts far longer. I'm like 1/8" into my current Pure block and it's around 6 months old. I would have gone thru several Master or 1080 blocks in that time.

Unless you're someone that loses chalk i think it's worth the money just for cleanliness and longevity.

I live in florida and during the summer i may leave the AC at 80 degrees when i am out of the house
when i come home to play the V10 chalk is not more pasty or cakey or like womens make up.

Nice. You get to play in 80 degrees. I'm in 90 degrees plus and in the winter I'm in 40-45 degrees at this particular pool hall.

I am in a sweltering pool hall because the owners are trying to save money. In the winter we play with our jackets on for the same reason. The temperature is also determined by if it is a full house or not. They try to cram as many tables in a small space. The idea is to get customers to buy a lot of drinks when its hot and a lot of liquor and food when its cold. At least this is what I'm told by one of the employees.

I know how these chalks behave. LOL

I must munch a lil crow here. I recently found a new 'disc' of Taom v2 green. This shit is the nuts i have to agree. No dust, no marks on balls. I do have one nit to pick and that is the shape. I know that's one reason it lasts so long but i've already had to chase this lil sob more than once. Will i pay 20bux for another one? Jury is still out.

The octagonal blocks roll pretty bad too. Drop it on your foot and it's gonna end up on the other side of the room.

I prefer the round shape. Yes, I have to chase it now and then, but I think round chalk goes on round tips easier. Personal preference.

I agree.. I liked it because it was like cakey make up lol it just made such a mess. also price wise that’s what I’ve been saying for years. Kamui cost $30 and lasted me about 18 months. That amounts to less than $2 a month. Not going to bankrupt me lol Im using taom v10 blue and think it’s fantastic. I used the predator for a bit but went back to taom

Thank you and the idea it is expensive is ridiculous.

People that think they are expensive are chalk thieves. They steal the chalk from the pool room so they don't care and will lose it.

When you buy your own stuff (chalk) you tend to make sure it doesn't get lost.

Stop stealing the chalks people! The owner has to pay for them!

Honestly I chalk once a game so I leave my chalk sit by my cues . I also have it in one of those little holders so it’s bright blue and sticks out. I’ve never lost a chalk yet… most likely that was a jinx lol

I am glad you like it. I cant believe how long I have been using the first one I have ever got.

I bought three more for $16 dollars a piece and I am sure I will never get to the last one. Someone should make truck tires out of this stuff.

I had 24 pieces of Masters in reserve and I now bring it to the pool hall and leave a few every time I go. Paying it back;)

Aww man, so I have to take my box of pyro out back and put it down like Old Yeller. I didn't even know chalk could get rabies.

Its funny that you guys noticed that the blue and the green seem different from each other even though they should be the same. I noticed the same thing with Master light green vs blue. The blue seems more dusty and gritty compared to the light green, the light green seems softer and creamier.
