Never a dull day in the AZ loony bin. I can sling it and take it. Keeps it lively. I'm on some other forums that are boring as fk compared to AZ."Welcome to Whose Nit Is It Anyway? The game where everyone's upset and your feelings don't matter."

Serious about what? I'm not the one who said the ball picks up speed after hitting a rail, I said it wasnt possible for that to happen. Are your rails 4" apart?
There's still time to delete this.
You can't be serious, but I think you are![]()
I was at work 20 years ago, and it was a shop environment. My coworker whom I shot the shit with a lot, was having a bad day. I went up to him and asked “does your p….. hurt today”? He shoved the hell out of me. Ha ha ha.So nice of to have one that cares. Panties-in-a-wad run in the family? Relax, just jackin with ya. People say shit like that to me all the time so just tossed that lil grenade out there.![]()
I think it is actually possible from a physics standpoint. What’s not possible is for it to pick up “total energy”.Serious about what? I'm not the one who said the ball picks up speed after hitting a rail, I said it wasnt possible for that to happen.

How can a Diamond rail height vary? While I'm not sure how the 7's are built, I do know my 8' and 9's that the rails sit on top of the slate, and the 7's still have a wedge leveling system similar to the 8&9' tables, so the slate would lay on top of the wedges in a similar fashion, and the rails would still be on top of the slate. I do not see any way rail height can vary no matter the setup unless someone replaced the rail rubber with the wrong stuff. The underside of the rail's rests directly on the slate, so height will always be the same.Did I say every cushion? Did I say it happened frequently? No. I agreed with another poster that Diamomd rails, r on occasion, extremely fast. Now, if those rails r installed a bit low, the ball will go airborne or hop up slightly. And yes, It had happened to me. They had to adjust the rail at the bar.
Correct, the Diamond 7' is just like their 9'. I bet the mechanic just fibbed to the customer to shut him up. No one is replacing cushions on diamond tables. They last forever. And that's the only way the cushion will be low. It could be high I suppose, if the installer left a mile of cloth folded under the rail. How can a Diamond rail height vary? The issue with the red labels was not the nose-height but the subrail angle. The cushion tops sloped down too much making the ball come off too hot/short. This was fixed when the blues came out. Fix can easily be done to red label models. How can a Diamond rail height vary? Huh?? What cue ball is 'too heavy'?? Go read the sticky Rexus31 put up on ball weights. They are all super close. Are you talking about magnetic barbox cb's? Aramith magnetic balls weigh same as standard cb's. Valley mag. balls are 6oz balls too. Also, just pointing out, that cue ball is garbage. Too heavy, further accentuating the issues

I understand all that about the sub angles, but Ronnie said the rail height needed to be adjusted as his balls were hopping and going airborne and that it was because they were installed low, then the bar readjusted them because they were low. Just pure BS, the rails lay on the slate and can't be low, they can possibly be slightly high, if a rotten installer left the cloth all bunched up on the bottom side, but can't be low.Did I say every cushion? possible wrong profile cushions were used. idk what was done there. i see what you're saying and totally agree. think that guy is full of it.I understand all that about the sub angles, but Ronnie said the rail height needed to be adjusted as his balls were hopping and going airborne and that it was because they were installed low, then the bar readjusted them because they were low. The balls that come standard with diamond 7 and 8 tables play heavier… not sure why this concept is so foreign especially if you play with both regularly.. draw and follow are easy ways to tell.. . I’ll weigh them compared to a measles if you need….Huh?? What cue ball is 'too heavy'?? Go read the sticky Rexus31 put up on ball weights. They are all super close. Btw, last night I played at a bar in PA called . Marty Magee's Irish Pub in Prospect Park. It was a chip tournament so I played a bunch of games on each table. It had 3 7’ diamonds. 2 red, 1 blue. Hardly any noticeable difference between them. The issue with the red labels was not the nose-height but the subrail angle. How do we know he didn’t put some right on it? Can’t be sure just by looking. From Badboys Texas State Championships. Blue label 7ft Diamonds. Incredibly short rails even at slow speeds. Cue ball doesn't slow down much. I assume rails were replaced or something wrong with cloth install? Never seen anything like it on a Diamond

To be clear... I love Diamond tables! Trying to figure out how they are off
That link posted, if you go to the .5 mark and blow it up, it does look as though he has about a half tip right in it. May not have, but the picture makes it look like he did no matter how he thought he actually hit it.How do we know he didn’t put some right on it? Can’t be sure just by looking.
