Anyone Use A Rhino Carbon Fiber Shaft?

Thanks but no thanks
That 200dollar one uses Chinese tubes. Think there's much if any difference? Doubt it. On a break cue deflection is of no importance so any good cf break shaft will do. I'd bet pretty good those Ravens are generic Chinese shafts with their logo put on them. They pay 40-50 each and sell for 200. I'd prefer to skip the middle-man.

1. I think that LD shaft does make a difference. I have the BK2 which is LD and another break cue with regular wood shaft and the BK will be more forgiving and more accurate if and when side spin accidentally creeps in.

2. You might be right about the source of the carbon tubes but I already placed the order, maybe I’ll get another cheap one from Temu to compare

This is exactly what I want to hear.

didn't find any break shafts on Temu

So, I have a REVO and just don't like it. I do love the Z shaft. Well, yesterday I hit with my friend's $200 RHINO shaft. I must say, I like it much better than the more expensiv REVO. Just my .02.

It probably was an older version, but I was alone with my issue. They sent me 2 cues and both tips came off in under 10 breaks. The tips were rather soft for a break cue. Are the new tips Bakelite? How do those compare to phenolic break tips? I had the J&J break cue with phenolic tip. It was too hard.
Frankly i never like phenolic break tip. My old mezz pro h shaft. I used kamui sai. Even earlier times. I used samsara break tip. So i guess u know what type of tip i preferred. I would say the bakelite seems to me , its a blend of phenolic and leather. When i got the new break shaft from rhino. I was already ready to change it. But i was wrong. Its really good. Recently change to the break tip to caiden. And it was great too. My advice. Use it till it beyond usage, then change to the caiden break tip. The bakelite and caiden is one hell of a good break tip. Both take chalk damn well. But i cant say for all as im using V10. So take it with a pinch of salt

I thought about upgrading my break shaft of my BK-2 to a CF shaft.
First I thought of Rhino but the width at the joint is 21.5mm which is wider than the BK-2 butt (21.3mm), I also emailed them regarding the joint pin to make sure that it fits Uni-Loc but their answer is not 100%.

So I looked to see if Predator sell their break shaft but couldn't find it on their web site. Then I thought selling the BK-2 and buy a Break-Rush but that felt stupid, the butt construction of both cues is similar so what's the point of selling mine for 200-300 and pay 800 for a new one before shipping and taxes. And I think that the Break-Rush is ugly...

Finally ordered the Raven CF break shaft for $199, I'll post my thoughts after I'll get it and use it for a few times
Do update. Very curious about it as well

Totally agreed. Im almost sold to them. Using a rhino play shaft, rhino jump cue and a rhino break shaft on my pb2

My Rhino shaft fits Uni-loc damn near perfectly.

3/8x8 will fit radial. qloc will fit uniloc. this is what Rhino told me. might msg. them to dbl-chek. they answer fast.
They make Radial and pretty much every other normal pin type plus offer fabulous selection of widths.

I bought a Rhino break shaft recently. Changed the tip to a Kamui Sai and used it for about a month before the ferrule completely ripped apart, taking the tip with it. Heard about several other people having the same issue. I have 2 of their playing shafts in 30 and 29 and think they play great and are worthy of the hype but the break shaft sucks ass in my experience.

I had some email exchanges with Rhino about my 5/16x14 issue; their customer service is not that great.
Basically, their solution was for me to go to a cue smith that will try to fix it for me.
$180 are not $500, but they are not $50 Temu products either. I expect more for my money, and I'd rather pay more to a brand that provides better support for their products.

that sucks, I have their jump cue and I hope the shaft on it will last longer...

tom cousins in the ultimate pool is the first player i've seen sponsored by rhino
He had a logo of Rhino Security on his shirt. It's not Rhino Billiards

I have a Raven break shaft. I bought it in 3/8-10, and had the shaft plugged and tapped to fit my Cuetec Break Cue. I had the stock tip replaced with a Pechauer C4. The shaft/cue breaks incredibly well.
