rings look kinda like an early mezz. my guess its asian too. nice cue.
I think that the radial pin is newer than early Mezz so unless someone changed the pin, it's probably not a Mezz, I think that all Mez cues have the logo on them

It speaks Asian import to me, but somewhat nicely made.
Yes. Somewhat, but I see things....

I also notice the wood is different than the butt sleeve under the bumper, and I don't see end grain, like it might be a composite material. Some would say that's the end of a core, but the diameter is way too big for that unless it is constructed like a modern Joss, which it is not. You can see the dark forearm wood on the joint face though.

The pin hole in the butt is not chamfered, which is less than best practice in construction and common on lower end Asian cues.

In addition, the "teeth" you can see on the inner surface of the plastic butt cap is seen an a heck of a lot of low end Asian cues. It's produced as a molded piece, not machined. This is seen in a lot of Taiwan cues. (Lower end US cues have used this construction as well.)

I do feel like I have seen those rings but can't place them.

Again, I have no idea. I offered more observations in this second post but that does not mean I really know a thing.

I think the cue will have to stand on its own merits unless someone nails down the maker for sure.

This is what I mean. Here is a molded plastic butt cap where you can see the "teeth" on the inner surface. In my experience only "cheap cues" use such parts.

Interesting to compare and contrast details. I found this grossly similar weight bolt example that is a PureX HXT15, but you can't see the "teeth" on the inner surface of the butt cap on this one. And you can see end grain. Notice that the construction is not concentric. So, on close inspection it is in fact very different.
