Congress should pass a law

I played with a set of Dynaspheres the other day (palladium or platinum - the one with the blue dot cueball, so the Japanese ones), and it was the first time I have really got pissed off by this. Kept thinking the 6 was the 7 (Light blue and grey). 3 times in the set I hit the wrong ball first. All 3 times in the middle of break and runs, and not once did my opponent tell me I am cueing down on the wrong ball hahaha
In the wise words of Yosemite Sam....."That'll learn ya"

Same thing happened to me at the Cue Club in Vegas. Wacky colors

We had unified ball colors up til about 25 years ago-best I can recall. Sure there were other ideas but 95% of ball sets were the same colors.

And the “TV” excuse was just bullshit to change colors and sell more balls, now with 4K cameras who needs “TV” balls. If someone is that blind, why watch pool?

Best
Fatboy <——-not the orange leader 😂, I lost that title. I’m still your man to sleep the 5 for ever orange!!!🧡🧡💪

hahahah this is hilarious. I am quite a fan of the sexy Aramith Leopard print 9 ball.

This red 8 is as random as the numbered set of yellow and reds (like English pool balls but American size) I saw for sale on Xianyu the other day

I also saw some striped balls (and I mean white balls with many thin colored rings around them) - 1 through 8 - with a golden 9 - which were intended for a televised Japanese event in the 00's for sale on the same APP. I posted them before to the ball collecting supremos on here (4500rmb a set though.... they aren't cheap)

Yes no more pink or brown pool balls please. The seven ball is maroon, the five is orange, the four is purple and the cloth is tournament green!
The only thing I disagree with is the green cloth, as much as a traditionalist that I am, The gray cloth really shows the ball colors better.

Really? I played on shark grey once and i didn't notice the balls being any clearer or have better color clarity. I thought it was ok but the only plus i'd give it is it looks better longer.

The only reason I bought the Tungsten set was because of the price, I think I paid about $80 for them, personally I don't care about colors, especially in 8 ball, I understand a little bit more in rotation games but for me in the end I'll call the ball by color if I have to or make sure I'm hitting the lowest number ball on the table, the color of the balls don't make me miss.......well.....maybe.....
When they first came out the difference between the 'Turdstons' ;) and the CLASSIC Bronze set was only around 60bux. I hope i never get that cheap. ;) Seriously, the Bronze set was THE best deal in balls until replaced by the Vanadium(still a great ball at a good price).

Not sure about playing on it, I was referring to TV colors.

while i kind of scoff at OP and others obsessed with the colors, i realize i'm the same when it comes to this. or under-sized, like in UK, that little ping pong ball. it's the worst.
I’m in sympathy for those who bemoan the departure from standard colors…..color coding makes sense.
I sure hope the people responsible for the change don’t get a chance to change the colors on traffic lights or electric wires….
….people will die.

The whole point of alternate colors is for video cameras. It isn’t just to be different.

Congress should have passed a law forcing all elevators to be operated by people and can not be automatic.

Congress should have passed a law prohibiting the sale and distribution of alcohol in the United States.

Congress should pass a law outlawing AI generated media.
