Yeah, if anything that might have been his version of a compliment to her, rating her higher than other partners he's had. "See everyone else? Do what I say and we will win!"Maybe I don't understand the definition of berate

I would like to know these answers, as well.I like the Ultimate pool format but... what is the difference between the shootout and the Open event? Also, what are the payouts for these events?
I watched a couple of your matches and did not realize I was watching a fellow AZB'er. Congratulations! Great showing!Thank you! I was feeling confident!
Well they don't exactly have a great past. Also, anyone notice how Mike DeChaine didn't even look at Shane when they shook hands after Shane beat him just now?
Agree. I do not like watching 8-ball much, but enjoyed this event. I still have reservations about turning pool into essentially speed-pool, and think the 6ball shootout should just be one more rack of actual pool, but the event did keep my attention for the duration which no 8-ball event before has done, so I can't complain too much.I watched a few matches, including all of the Women's final. That was a fun match, Emily and Ashley both banked a bunch of balls, including Emily's final match winning 8 ball.
I think Ultimate Pool has a winning format. I absolutely despise both playing and watching "normal 8 ball", but am super enjoying watching this format. I will go so far as to say I think its more fun than watching the MR majors.
This might legit be the future of pool in the USA. I don't think I'd mind that.

sometimes an eight ball on the break is a win, sometimes not?Winning and losing are the only points in contention.
Rhetorical. If it's not one or the other you have an argument. Never played this way but I'm leaning toward the breaker having to commit to an 8 on the break by finishing one group, made or open. Not getting out would be a loss. That could be relaxed to the breaker having the option to spot the 8 and declare standard play.sometimes an eight ball on the break is a win, sometimes not?
that’s very kind of you, but dismissing me and my questions doesn’t change the fact that the event’s website is poorly organized and the ref’s interpretations of the rules is inconsistentIt's clearly not for you. Watch what you like.
The rules differ on this between a Shootout and an Open tournament. My current understanding is as follows.sometimes an eight ball on the break is a win, sometimes not?

I disagree. All of the information is very easy to find if you really want answers to your questions. And the refs are the best in the business and extremely consistent.that’s very kind of you, but dismissing me and my questions doesn’t change the fact that the event’s website is poorly organized and the ref’s interpretations of the rules is inconsistent
Your original statement was that there was a mystery. I asked what the mystery was so I could help clarify. You began your rant. You don't want clarification for anything other than to dislike the "cuteness" and "excitement" of this tour.that’s very kind of you, but dismissing me and my questions doesn’t change the fact that the event’s website is poorly organized and the ref’s interpretations of the rules is inconsistent
The Shootout AND the Mixed Doubles are for the spectators. Invitation only, and they do have an entry fee, but the Open is the big ticket!I think the Shootouts are kind of a "bonus" event, whose primary purpose is to be a show for the spectators.
Working, imo. They're tremendous fun to watch.
