I have experience with the Rhino shaft and it is a very nice shaft for what it costs.Thinking of buying a budget carbon fiber cue. Rhino and Linc are in Ozone with a good price. Does anyone have any experience with these cues? Thanks in advance!
Just interested in your opinion. I have been playing with a rhino for about six months. In what way would a predator or triple 60 carbon fiber shaft b better or different. If u have experience with them ??I have experience with the Rhino shaft and it is a very nice shaft for what it costs.
I don't have any experience with the Triple 60.Just interested in your opinion. I have been playing with a rhino for about six months. In what way would a predator or triple 60 carbon fiber shaft b better or different. If u have experience with them ??
I believe Rhino will customize the joint diameter for a small fee. I may be mistaken. Best to contact them and ask.I don't have any experience with the Triple 60.
I have a Revo 12.9 so it's hard to compare to the Rhino. It is a slightly better in terms of low deflection (not a night and day thing) and power (mainly to the size of the shaft).
My biggest issue with the Rhino shafts is that they all come at 21.5mm at the joint which is wider then most cues so the fit is not that great but if you buy the whole Rhino cue, that shouldn't be an issue at all.
I have 4 different CF shafts and a bunch of 314-2 shafts. I can actually rate them it terms of LD but it only really comes out in test shots with a lot of power that I never apply to regular play and I don't feel that I need to change anything with my aim with any of the CF shafts that I own.
I have asked them about the diameter and they said that it’s 21.5mm standard on all shafts.I believe Rhino will customize the joint diameter for a small fee. I may be mistaken. Best to contact them and ask.

Wow, I bought two shafts for two different Joss cues. Fortunately mine be doing perfectly after lubricating the pin.I have asked them about the diameter and they said that it’s 21.5mm standard on all shafts.
They didn’t mention an option of customization so I don’t think it’s available.
When I had issue with the 5/16x14 thread that didn’t screw all the way, they didn’t even offer a fix but sent me to look for a local cue smith to try and fix it… so I really doubt they offer any custom work
I bought a 5/16x14 tap bit and tapped the shaft manually, it worked and fixed the problem. If it didn’t work that would have been a waste of $200…Wow, I bought two shafts for two different Joss cues. Fortunately mine be doing perfectly after lubricating the pin.
I actually have a good work around. If you order it off Amazon, you can return it so you can order it and see if it fits and if it doesn’t return it.I bought a 5/16x14 tap bit and tapped the shaft manually, it worked and fixed the problem. If it didn’t work that would have been a waste of $200…
With this kind of customer service, I’m done with Rhino

The rhino folks I dealt with came across as very motivated to resolve my issueS and in the long run, all is good for my rhino situation. With this kind of customer service, I’m done with Rhino.

I felt the same way with the butts. They are alright and worth the money but I just didn't really care for the feel. Mine was the US flag one and the raised stars didn't feel great to me when playing. If it didn't have the raised stars I could have lived with it. It's minor but you know how those minor things can get lodged between your ears at times.I got a full rhino cue (and a 2nd rhino carbon shaft) and was not a fan of the full cue at all.
The shafts are fine on other butts but I did not enjoy the way the 'composite' (composed of what?!?) butt played at all.
Are you saying if you had owned a Revo 12.4mm instead of a Revo 12.9mm, and if you had to pick and buy only one shaft of those you owned, it would be the Revo 12.4mm?Among the shafts that I own, I prefer the SMO best and the Rhino last. The Rhino comes last in terms of fit, finish and performance.
With all the experience that I've gained in the last 3 months with CF shafts, if I have to pick and buy only one, it'll probably be the Revo 12.4mm

Is the Revo 12.4mm that much better for you than the 12.9mm Revo?
Who makes the SMO shaft. And if you liked it the best why at the end would you say youd pick the revo instead.I can honestly say that there is CF, and there is CF, and not all are the same in terms of quality and performance.

Yes
I got the 12.9 because I feared that 12.4 will feel too thin in my hand but its taper makes it feel thicker and stiffer
I like better than other shafts I have. After trying the Revo 12.4, I think that I would like it betterWho makes the SMO shaft. And if you liked it the best why at the end would you say youd pick the revo instead.
