Ernie Gutierrez's Latest Ginacue

The headlines and news releases said Ernie was arrested for smuggling Ivory, this is not accurate.

A buyer was arrested when he tried to take cues with Ivory he bought from Ernie out of the U.S.

After the buyer was arrested and charged with smuggling Ernie was charged for aiding and abetting a buyer.

When the Fish and Game Department raided Ernie's shop they took every cue that had Ivory including my Szamboti that I left to be refinished.

To Ernie's credit he made sure Fish and Game returned all the cues that belonged to customers were to their owners.

The pictures are of my cue with the evidence tag attached to case.
I knew about what happened
But not about the feds taking all the cues with ivory that were in the shop
Glad to know you got your cue back as did the others
Do you know what ivory substitute ernie uses now?

You should have been charged with not having that cue in a nicer case (I'm totally kidding. Thats an awesome stick).

Crosscut wood is nice and gives a unique look. I have crosscut maple, purpleheart and Cocobolo.
Beautiful cue, congratulations 👏

Dear Brunswick 1901, my name is Philip Wurster. The included photos of this 1909 Brunswick - Balke- Collender-Co. pool table was refurbished by Ernie Gutierrez. He did this as a gift I believe for my dad Woody Wurster, Whom Ernie worked at my dad’s stamping company in the 1970’s. They were very close friends. Ernie even attended my wedding in 1991. Sorry to say my dad past away last year. I do custom wood working for a living and would like to make a pool table lamp matching Ernie’s work in memory of my dad. I have a supplier for the burly walnut and maple but I cannot locate the wood ribbon inlay. I have tried to contact Ernie but phone number is no longer working. It seems you might be able to contact Ernie. Would you be so kind as to forward this information to him, and possibly he or you could tell me where the ribbon inlay comes from?

nice table
nice guitars too
good luck in finding what you need for the lamp

Thank you Brunswick 1901!!! The guitars are from my wife’s grandpa. He also has past away many years ago. The curtains are heavy duty moving blankets. They are for sound dampening. There’s a drum set on the other side of the room. I am a hard rock/ heavy metal drummer. It gets very very loud !
