Ok! Here a simple Question? Here do you position your rubber sleeve on your cue butt???

I noticed in a few photos, that your rubber sleeve are!
1. Different size.. What size of sleeve ... do you use ? Size 6" or Longer?
2. Thick?
3. Name brand?
4. Position on Butt of Cue?

Not really the right answer, but since this part of the forum doesn't get much traffic - I tried them and didn't like them. I didn't like the sticky feeling and I hated how they grab at your shirt. It's like a self-sharking routine.

I never saw the need for any wrap.

Some people want a wrap to keep their hand from slipping even with a light grip. A rubber grip seems to be the best for that.

I think most carom players do not rub their cue against their shirt, but I could be mistaken.

I find that no wrap -- just the shiny finish that's on the rest of the butt -- works fine for me. I don't get any slip.

As for the original question, I used to use "Penrose" surgical drainage tubing. It's thin latex. 18 inches and going nearly all the way back.

Right, maybe we have sweaty hands or something? I couldn't get slip on the cue if I wanted to.

There's a Dutch player who uses the longest grip / wrap I've ever seen. It starts an inch from the top of the butt and goes all the way down, leaving about five inches bare at the bottom end. Which is where his right hand is when he plays.

I’m always careful to keep the splices / inlays of my cheap Hanbat butt showing when using a rubber grip. I can’t imagine something like this
