Florida Open 2025, August 5-10, Orlando, Caribe Royale

Had a great match with Felix today.

Felix seemed like a genuinely nice young man. He mentioned being nervous during the first few racks, and you could tell—his rhythm was a little off. But once he settled in, he started shooting strong: a couple of break and runs, and even nailed a 9 on the break.

As for me… well, I dogged it every time I got to the table! 😅 Still, it was a great experience overall. Good sportsmanship, solid play, and a fun time all around.

Could tell you had some jitters but who wouldn’t. It’s an experience you won’t forget. And you still got a bullet left.
If you don’t have fun it’s your own fault.
My motto is “ Am I going to win? No!
Am I going to finish in the money? Probably not!
But can I ruin someone else’s day? (I don’t really mean it)
Absolutely!!

Except for those times where it almost kills them.

There are almost 13 million green card holders in the U.S. Almost all are going about their lives as usual, including Fedor Gorst. This tells us nothing about what the green card issues were or who/what was at fault.

I know we live in a hyper-politicized age, but I try to stick to pool. I live in DC and get nonstop politics every day.

If I were in Mika's condition, by the way, I don’t think I’d be flying to China in the first place. That kind of trip is taxing on the body.

There goes my morning.
exactly. what's up with that?? just leave the day 1 table 1 full video, day 1 table 2 etc up. not rocket science
This has been an ongoing problem from Day 1 of WNT TV. Still no listing of a Florida Open at all among the on-demand viewing options.

WNT knew the event was coming. They had time to prepare. They have ironed out some kinks, but this is a big one. It should have been addressed by now.

The stream of each table should automatically be archived and be available for viewing within an hour of its conclusion. We could access recorded matches almost immediately on DAZN and Youtube under the prior viewing regime.

I can, however, access all the matches I want to see from the World Pool Championship. Not having the trouble Decent Dennis is having.

We have a team in the UK that look after the technical of live to VOD, due to the time difference (2am UK) when we finish in Florida, the VOD won't be available until the morning of the UK, so a few hours later than planned.

Apologies for the Florida Open section not live on WNT TV, I can assure the VODs from day one are ready to be viewed, I personally ensured this was done.

The team in the UK are finalising the FO section now.

Much appreciate the effort to improve WNT TV and keep us informed, JA. I know the site has improved after a tough first two days of the WPC.

Yet I still do not understand why WNT TV can't create an automated process to move table streams from live to VOD. No need to edit or clip out individual matches. Just put it all out there for we pool fanatics to sift thru.

Otherwise viewers are prisoner to the 24-hour day in the UK. We have to wait till technicians wake up in London and go to work before we in the States (Or Asia) can watch previous matches.

The goal should be anytime, anywhere viewing, live or recorded. We want to pick the matches we want to watch when we want to watch them.

***

By the way, try watching a match on WNT TV on a computer or Apple iPad and fiddle with the FF and RW buttons. Surely you've done that already. They are placed in an awful spot, are too small, and the skip is too long (20 seconds).

I'll keep beating that drum!

We're taking all the feedback on board, and as I've said before, we're always looking to improve the site. Introducing live to VOD was something we pushed heavily for given the global fanbase the sport has.

I appreciate people want that VOD access immediately and in most cases we are looking to do this, but due to the fact we are UK based and work with UK technicians, I can't promise anything more.

The aim for this event and the US Open is that VOD is available by the morning after so it shouldn't be too long of a wait - but I appreciate it isn't immediate. We hope most people are able to enjoy the action live, and the numbers reflect that.

WPC we had the VOD available immediately.

Keep the feedback coming, but please always keep it constructive, which for the most part it always is!

They really dropped the ball. Jeddah was a great event and then they transitioned to Florida Open that has potential to be another great event.

Give Collins from Postup a call and he can broadcast it correctly for you guys. Hire him.

He's a one man show and puts out great streams.

Not Collins, please. Gives a good effort, but ..., well, I will leave it at that.
