8 Foot Diamond Rail Problem

Pay close attention to your 10B break. The areas on your foot rail are common areas for balls to hit during the break. My money is still on residual Aramith Ball Cleaner transferred from the balls to the rail. What do you use to clean your balls and how much ABC are you using?
I clean them by hand, just a couple of drops on each ball, two microfiber cloths-

A cap full of Woolite to 1 gallon of water.
Thanks. I'll have to give it a try.
Having the same issue with the ball hop on one out of six anniversaries at a pool haul. I recovered 8 months ago. At first I thought it might be humidity causing the rail to swell a little bit, but it's only happening on one table in one place like DJKeys table.

I'd say too much cleaner also. In my home made cleaner similar to Diamonds, I use two drops of Aramith cleaner diluted 20% for 8 balls. That's about 10% the amount of cleaner that you use.
Rexus has his mix of Aramith that is much more diluted than mine, but he sprays it on I think, where I put a drop on a finger and dab that on 4 balls then another drop for the other 4 balls. It would be interesting to try and figure out between Rexus's way, and mine, what way actually uses more cleaner. Not that it matters I guess as both of our ways seems to work with drastically less cleaner than how you are using it with 2 drops per ball.
I do know that before I diluted it that 20% and just used it full strength with 2 drops per 8 balls, I had to manually wipe them off with a microfiber cloth for a bit as without that they played slightly clingy.

I have been using the Aramith cleaner in my Diamond polisher for over 10 years and don't have any problems with ball hop. I don't even wipe the balls off when I pull them out of the polisher. I use 1 small drop of Aramith ball cleaner on every other ball. Sometimes I throw the balls in the polisher with no cleaner at all.

I cleaned mine this past weekend and the couple places where I had ball hop are good now. The only drawback to freshly cleaned cloth, more specifically the rail cloth to ball contact points, is a noticeable reduction in speed for a bit. No biggie, just something I've noticed over the years. It will normalize in few weeks of play as those points get a bit sticky again.

Curious. Do you break regularly when you play on your table?
