How to submit data to Fargorate

no, no, its not about money. Its how best to get scores in on a game I'm wanting to do.

There's a roster of players playing 6 rounds matched up by their rate,
every round presents a new leader board, match up from the bottom up,
2 games each Rd. 10 pt scoring

...well, it is how best to spend on what way to go, if possible.

Thanks on the info.

..and I am allergic to cost.

Dan_B, a scenario like yours would require it's own custom tool. Ingenpool has been created to support all mainstream tournament formats. Of course we try to handle most scenario, but there's a fine line not to cross where a tool would become so overly complicated that it becomes unusable. To help in handling situations outside of the standard formats, we've implemented the "OPEN" format, which is basically a sequence of matches, supported by all standard features & handicaps, including Fargorate submit. You do some of the work, and Ingenpool helps in recording and submitting results. The following video discusses the "OPEN" format https://www.budtour.com/tutorials?vid=34

Thanks for the post up.
I'm looking, there has to be a way to get scores in that match the qualification's of the
overall Fargorate concept using todays game standards.

I'm optimistic about your OPEN format, fits the game I'm wanting to do. Thanks again

As you mentioned, one defense against that is to make the playing history publicly accessible or at least viewable by the players. The opponents in the alleged matches could notice and complain.

Absolutely. I can’t understand why the match results wouldn’t be shared. I think it would only be a selling point to the people that question the system.

While you’re at it, a users ability to filter the data too. For instance, to be able to look up a player and filter results when playing people above/below certain ratings, size of table etc. Would be a handy tool when betting on players in different situations. If the information is there, why not?

I realize this is an old thread but, a question came up recently regarding double elimination tournaments and the reporting of the final 'playoff'

It seems pretty normal, when getting to the last games, that the 'hotseat' player simply offers to split the money to save having to play more games (it's often getting late by this point) and in the majority of case the person (with 1 loss) accepts 2nd place and a bigger share of the 'pot'

Let's say the winners bracket played a run to 3....if the tournament director enters 3-0 final win (even though they didn't play) this will go off to Fargo.

I know most software (Challonge for example) will accept 0-0 and a selection of the winner's name...and then close out the tournament. Surely this is a better option when this situation arises rather than give someone a false score but, does Fargo accept 0-0 into the system or does a score have to be entered? even if it was (say) 1-0.

Hope that makes sense LOL

0-0 is fine. It'll either be ignored or go into the system as 0-0. Either way no harm no foul.
