I just purchased an older (25 years). I want to make a CF shaft for it but I believe he used a 3/8 11.5 tap ( correct me if I'm wrong please) I'd like to find someone that could make me a phenolic insert with a 1" OD. Anyone capable out there?

I forgot what the thread pitch is but it’s not 11.5. If you search the forum you’ll find the correct thread size.

Because as long as I have the insert threaded, I can cut the od to fit the carbon fiber shaft

Threaded o.d. 1/2x13 or 9/16" is great you don't need to mess with the entire plug in the end of the shaft.

My understanding the pin is .348x11.45. I'd love to get a carbon fiber shaft for mine. Just today I did buy the male and female driver for it in hopes I could find a cue maker that would make the shaft for me. Atlas Supplies advertises the lathe driver pin as a Bludworth so hoping it would match up as expected.

I don't know if he deals in the c/f shafts or not.
I've converted a few but I don't deal the shafts.
I think Dave 38 bought the Atlas tap but not sure how well it worked.
