Any ideas best methods to build up a wrap channel that is way too deep for linen or leather. If i need to spray a filler (epoxy or primer surfacer) whats best way to tape the existing perfect finish?

I have tried them all. It takes some time to get it just right, but I feel the end result that is best and actually takes the lest amount of time is veneer.
Take your time measuring so you'll have a perfect fit for the veneer pieces. Spray one side so it naturally curls, Apply a wood glue with long work time and use surgical tubing or a quality painters tape like Tesla. There will be some some cleanup no matter how good you are, but in the end it's less work than soaking linen wrap in epoxy and sanding that flat or god forbid, use bondo..

I've done veneer and also done layered linen. It's best to have as many options as possible. What works for one might not work as well for another.

Im not a cuemaker but enquiring for my local cuemaker whos tryin to help me get a wrap on this predator bk2 which had that pos rubber wrap. When ryan mentioned sealer doing the multiple linen wraps im wondering what sealer is he talking about. I paint cars for a living & use various sealers but not sure what sealer works with the linen method.

Good luck!

I just had this issue over the weekend doing a Lucasi. I went with the veneer fill because I either misplaced the thin cork sheets I had or tossed them before i moved shop.

I did. I've increased my cost recently, I have been charging on the low end and felt its time to move up to what most are. This is the 3rd time I've had to really build up the channel and two of them were Lucasi. I'm starting to not like those cues. But its easy and quick money.
