Funny story involving Efren and Bucktooth in Reno

Just one story from the great old Sands Reno tournaments during the 90's...

Here is a story that some people will enjoy, I remember Efren walking down the stairs from the mezzanine level when Bucktooth sensed this was his chance to put on his show. He started woofing Efren as they walked down the stairs offering him some wild game. Efren just smiled and let Bucktooth continue his act knowing what he was up to. In no time that stairwell was packed with people clamoring to watch the show, you would have thought Elvis just made an appearance. Bucktooth really put on a show, Fats could not have done better. Finally security had to be called in the break it all up but everyone enjoyed the performance.

This is just one little thing that happened at Reno that made it so much fun. I'm sure Jay has a ton of these stories.

Did they ever play? Efren would shoot that loudmouth's nuts off.
 
Was it anything like this? Fatboy called his bluff, and that was the end of it.

No never played and of course you're right Efren would have destroyed Bucktooth. But it did create quite a commotion as they descended down the stairs to the casino floor. When they got down to the bottom steps there was a huge crowd gathering to watch the show, it was great! When the security guards showed up to break it up I remember one guy saying "oh man just when we were starting to have some fun!"
 
buckey played jam up and was devastating on trick games. few beat him. overall he was bad action. but greedy players took shots as he had big money he made from jew pauls stuff.
 
Bucktooth played “ok” in his younger years but rarely, and I mean very rarely EVER played anyone without an outrageous spot or proposition involved. His skill set was his loudmouth antics of challenging better players asking for the nuts and chiding them if they didn’t take the bait. On the other hand he was an outstanding card counter at Blackjack.
