Goldcrown 3 nose hight question

What is the correct hight? I have one rail at 1 12/32 & all the others are 1 31/64
The rail that's 1 12/32 is hopping/bouncing balls.
It seems the more the cloth is worn the worse it gets?

Here is a good thread by RKC regarding your question. Sounds like you might want to check your math again.

Thanks, I read that thread but I don't know how thick GC3 rails are.
Shouldn't all GC3's have the same consistent hight?

I’m fairly certain that GC rails are 1-3/4” in ht. I think all commercial Brunswicks from post WWII and on are 1-3/4”.
Edit: 1-3/4” rail thickness would be 1-11/16 subrail thickness.

I should've titled this thread why do balls keep hopping off my rails.
I just assumed that the nose hight was the culprit being that the rail that hops the most is 3/32 lower than the other rails.

Nose height variations of 2/32” are definitely an issue. Sounds like the mechanic who did work on your table just wasn’t experienced enough to do the job. If nose heights are off that much makes me wonder what the pocket facing and down angles are. You could always ship those rails out to Jack Zimmerman, Geoff Bradshaw, or Mark Gregory to get them overhauled and playing correctly.

Thanks for the plug!
We don't currently ship rails. We just simply have too much local work to focus on.
However, I'm sure that Mark or Jack would be happy to take on the work.
