Experiments in looking at the cueball while delivering the stroke.

The intro spection section starts upon miss. Let's look at the program. Where did it break ? Ah the ring finger. Lame it. 😉 the brain suggests. Of course the muscles blame the brain. So try it again. And on and Oops suppose I should be in the practice thread. 🤷‍♂️ 😉

Well, the Snooker is on again. Judd Trump this morning. Vs the Young Gun. Day 3 British Open. Every well a good inquiry mind can gather evidence.
Eye patterns are very interesting. 🤔

I have been here before, is the mindset.
I just witnessed the unspeakable scratch by John Higgins playing Anthony McGill. It replicates the one I experienced in our last league outing.
The incredibly thin cut that had whitey going 4 rails for perfect shape. However it found the hole in the 4th rail.
Oh well shrug 🤷‍♂️ it was oh so close.
The precision cueball is most likely attained looking at whitey as I hit it. Just like baseball and table tennis. Keeping whitey under control keeps the difficulty factor down.
My favorite over heard ass says mint was, "he command his cueball. "

Can't recall the one handed practice discussion. However picked it for the morning Challenge oh the day.
Lefty earned a trophy 🏆 photo.

Cueball starts on the star pad under the cue.
One handed phenolic tip ( with calk allowed 😉).
The one ball is respotted. Lefty made it first try and cueball lays where it stop.
Yeah! Ready Set go.

Murphy and McGill putting it on display in the finals of the British Open.
Could be a barn burner. Certainly worth the price of admission.

Stephen Hendry has a new video on YouTube that's full of insights.
I just put this in Bob Jewett's thread so same thing.

On the visualization thing; I like to quote the Bible - "...in his own image."
So your visual center is in the back of your head. Cool. Where's the display???

Anyway, right at the beginning he (not God) covers CBL. Yay.

Making a shot one handed is hardly anything to rave about or celebrate. It could have been pure luck.
Make the same shot twice in a row, well, that can just be a mere coincidence after your lucky 1st attempt.

Now make that same one handed shot 3x in a row, well, then you have every right to think and say I got
that shot down. Anyone can make it once but do it 3X in a row, then you are definitely on the right track.

And you should include shots 6-7-8 ft. distant, banks (mostly side pocket) because of using a easier one
handed bridge. Even those shots don’t matter much until you can pocket that shot 3x in a row. It’s hard.

When I say playing one handed, I mean one arm cue on the rail or suspended in mid air, say for a cue ball on the spot shot. Just a cue and your hand, not any actual mechanical bridge. You can rest on a leather pocket too one armed. I played great one armed practice yesterday and today it took awhile before I could catch a gear. Really frustrating but it does teach and remind you to focus on the smooth delivery of your stroke and especially not stroking too high on the CB for better control.

One handed practice is building a strong foundation.
It's just the beginning. The oach er uh Coach gets into the fine tuning of the long range weapon.
One handed challenge "jacked up" 😉 is a great way to start the day.
Cold morning starts call for a longer warm up .
Setting the shooting platform is a dance uh step.
When it's time to go. I gotta flip ehr uh flow.
The Aim is started at the first step so the first week should be devoted to just that step. Start the aim with the belly button on the line. Exactly as I step the body moves but the chin is locked on the line. Use the phone camera to inspect the form. 🤷‍♂️

Learn the Angles.
geometry was my strong suit in high school. 🤷‍♂️
a person schooled in scaffolding knows the importance of the strength of the structure. The school er can use geometry to determine where to vuild the structure. 🤷‍♂️ 😉 Simple stuff.
