Tip talk

I have break cues with both the Zan Double Face and Sia Hard. Both work great, I prefer these over the synthetic break tips that I've tried. I would say the Zan feels a little harder than the Kai, but there's not much in it.

Just checking with the cue guy what he's got in, but I am leaning towards a double face, especially if he only has the non-hard Sai in-stock. Does depend how much he wants to charge me for it of course!
Thanks for your input. I did like the bulletproof, it had a nice feel/give/damping/bounce (I don't know the correct vocabulary), while getting through the ball. Something that phenolic, white diamond, and some others I tried didn't have.
Hopefully this leather/synthetic combo, can deliver the goods.
I'll likely flip a coin on it in a couple hours lol

I went for the Kamui Sai Hard, not a great picture of it, but very pleased with it. Probably placebo effect, but does everything I need of it at this point. Feels great, but I’ve only hit an hours worth of MR format 9ball breaks at this point. In the morning, I’ll give it a bit more muscle.

Was going to remove the Kamui tip on the Hayakawa for a Thoroughbred, and my cue guy wanted to try one, so we did a swap, and I ended up with this Sakura Gold medium on my Hayakawa too.

Happy days.

Handful of 10ball racks this morning before I get the train and fully activate ‘holiday mode’

Very impressed. Good power, good control. Couldn’t be more satisfied.

Just to keep things simple and not clutter choices with more choices...

I've been using this hard option for a couple years and am very happy with them

They do require a quality stroke. They do not mushroom. They are 100% consistent.
