Salotto… what a joke

And if higher Fargo players always beat lower Fargo players, after people get a robust Fargo rating they wouldn't have to play anymore. Just compare Fargo ratings and the higher rated player is the winner.

Exactly. It is equally as unlikely that I would lose 7-1. But that score wouldn’t have been questioned

I don’t mind the initial review due to the unlikeness of that happening as long as it is overturned and counted for both players once reviewed.

I guess it is a matter of perspective. I would think it looked as if your opponent was dumping to lower his Fargo. Not sure how they could determine which one of you was trying to manipulate the system or if either of you were.

Sounds like a good reason to just avoid the fargo bs altogether. Or at the very least stop submitting random matches. I've spectated one 500 and under tournament, friend wanted to play in it, and surprise surprise a handful of players were way above the rest in skill level. So just like apa, bca, tap, anything with a handicap you will have people work the system.

Well, Noble bro. Clearly my Fargo would have gone up, so how are you like Accusing me of sandbagging? Always looking to argue with somebody bro. You’re the AZ version of a Karen.
You must be the AZ version of the clueless Gen Z with the “bro” thing

I don't think that is an outlandish outcome to beat someone 70 points higher than you in a couple of sets. It is possible that the guy he played as a great A game, but a horrendous B game. Even some of the pro's have that issue, such as James Aranas.
If the original poster or his opponent has a number of matches that have similar outcomes then it could look a little fishy, but just two sets? Nah.

It says on their front page that they do this. It says to submit video or something. Why is this a surprise?
Covid is over you don't have to play this thing😂😂

Am I missing something? If it was submitted that he beat someone two sets, 70 points higher than him, wouldn’t that be the opposite of sandbagging? He’s literally begging to have his Fargo raised… arguably higher than it should be.
counter-bagging. its the newest thing. ;)

Basically a hook-up app but instead of getting laid you get played. ;)
As a hook-up app it stinks. You can only get a game if someone actively puts out a match for you to "discover". It should have some feature where anyone near you can be pinged to play.

For example, right this second, there is only one match in the whole county that is "discoverable". Its in MD.

Not defending or accusing, just curious, how well do you know the other guy?
Perhaps he has some history of questionable outcomes with the folks at Salotto and that's why they questioned your match outcome?

I have o occasion heard a grumbling after a victory. Usually along the line of, "you don't play like that against Bill (the local champion)."
My reply would be, "That's because  You don't play good enough to scare me." 🤷‍♂️

Is it Salotto, possibly just a software client, using FargoRate's back end API's and recording scores rules and those back end rules flagging / not recording your sets?

well thats cause thats what it looks like
beating someone 100 points higher so easily
It shouldn’t .. I’m pretty new to Fargo. Only play in a league and there are people in my area that are mid 600s that I beat in tournaments plenty but I’m in the mid 500 Fargo lol I only play one match a week your fargo doesn’t move much. Hell I’ve beaten guys 5-0 with about a 500 and my Fargo went down 😂 Fargo is a joke like all handicap sysems.
