You found out some people you knew were logging into the cameras at a hall to watch matches you're playing in and making bets on the outcome. No intent to inform you, or have you be aware of the action?

So, the main issues for me are... one of the guys I like. Just expected better. I am actively looking for match-ups that involve me being 100% in. I like cake, and I want a piece.I guess, in the scheme of things, I am a nit.
But! Who cares? That is their action, and unless they are breaking some rules by logging in to the cams, whats the problem?
TBH I would be proud AF that someone cared enough to put some cash on my set LOL.
ETA: I would be happy not to know as it would present added pressure especially if I had a piece of the outcome.
Fair comment. I guess with the railbirds, you know where you stand. You know there's 'game on' and the focus is there. I want reason to be 100% in. Maybe that's why I am feeling negative. That and the potential for problems without me being aware.I see, more complicated than I would understand from my home room.
Ok well, I dig wanting a piece but, I liken it to the expectation that you would get a piece of all of the rail birds action if it were an in person and not “on camera”. Parsing the distinction is really the question.
Yeah, I pinned him a light-hearted message this morning. Waiting on that. Now that you know though, hit up the guy you like and set the score.
It's a tough call. If you were none the wiser, then who cares. But when you get a whiff, it can be something that affects you personally or the enjoyment you have from the game, without you receiving any of the reward.Been there. Silent rail that is. No tips. Need a prefucktual for that.

That would get some action from me. In the form of colourful vocabularyI've had guys tell me, "You have no idea how much money I made off you!"

You are playing on a table that you know has a camera and is streaming, and you are well aware that various people can and do watch the stream remotely. Spectators are always free to bet amongst each other on any matches they want to, with no obligation whatsoever to include or notify the players in a match they bet on. Since you were not involved in any bets that spectators made, or even aware of them at the time, if they were found out by someone who frowns on said betting you could not be "reprimanded" in any way so there is zero risk of it being able to affect you.So, the main issues for me are... one of the guys I like. If I was to be a real nit, I would have to say, it's not against the rules to log-in to the cameras, but it is against the "big book of rules" to gamble where I am currently situated. Though I do like a bit of action. I don't want to get reprimanded for action that I am not even aware is taking place.
Not really mad, more puzzled at how to approach or feel about it.
The cameras are password protected, but members of the store know the password. It's easy to say it won't affect me, or come back to bite me in a situation where I am familiar with the relevant legislation. However I am not, hence some extra unnecessary anxiety/annoyance about the potential for trouble, however small. If I get in trouble, I tend to expect it to be from my own stupidity, not because of other peopleYou are playing on a table that you know has a camera and is streaming, and you are well aware that various people can and do watch the stream remotely. Well, now I am aware. I have already had to consider how I feel about it, or be aware that it could be happening at times when I am playing certain people in the relevant friendship group.I'm failing to see any problem. My opinion on "how to approach or feel about it" would be to say to yourself "nobody is doing anything wrong, and certainly nothing that affects me in any way, so I have, and can have, no problems with it".
I do have some control, the store can change the passcode. But that affects more people than just myself. The surrounding gossip etc. Just not something I asked for. Have managed to sort it out with the guy. He didn't think it would be a problem. I guess it's like any situation where you hear things from others instead of directly from the source. Leaves a mirky, muddy feeling. Ambiguity.well i would ask for a piece of the action and want to know what piece i had before the game started or when the bets were made.
if they said no to that. i would say then i might tend to lose when you have bets down then. if you want me to try then let me in.
if you don't want any of it then forget about it as then it doesn't affect you.
basically if you are playing on tv you have no control over what viewers do. only where you play.
You could cap the lens on your table.I do have some control, the store can change the passcode. But that affects more people than just myself. He got my points, and to be honest, I get his. Should be all good going forward.
I don't wanna mess with stuff that cost money. But I like that ideaYou could cap the lens on your table.

Could make some offensive placards in the background haha
Get with your opponent, bet the other side and dump their asses. You found out some people you knew were logging into the cameras at a hall to watch matches you're playing in and making bets on the outcome. No intent to inform you, or have you be aware of the action?
I don't think the dudes would care all that much, but I'd certainly draw some attention I don't want... yeah, not going to be doing thatdress like a falun gong member

Well that was one thing that bothered me. Which games, how many, who against? Just didn't find it to be particularly respectful.Get with your opponent, bet the other side and dump their asses.
