International Open 2025

So, for unimaginable reasons, I am still in and, according to the TD (who is somehow able to decipher the tournament chart hieroglyphics) I have made it to the last 16 and am in the money (small money).

Had Marc Vidal, with me needing one to his four for the set and I let him get away (damnit). After two 3-2 nail biter wins today I play again tomorrow at 2. I have no buy back. Miracles happen. God bless us, every one.

Oliver Ruuger next, I see. That should be a good challenge; play well, Lou!

I don't know about that.... St Augustine started Nights of Lights 1 week early this year- Saturday November 15th -yesturday--- Hotel prices tend to double and triple in these parts.
Perhaps, but probably not where this event is located- no way someone is going to pay out double and triple hotel rates for a pool tournament - they always seek out rates more favorable than standard. The night of lights goes on for over 2 months! This time period- this week is not even close to peak season for this event- sorry not buying that hotels are jammed this week with tourists - this is still a slower time for Florida hotels - pool tournaments in the U.S. are not going to be held in hotels at peak season rates- end of story.

What I was trying to say was that in the past the Night of Lights started a week later. This tournament was booked BEFORE the city council decided to change the Night of Lights dates. They changed those dates just in the past year to address the absolute chaos that the event brings to town. "end of story" HA! This is the internet..., :)

A complete Cluster F that has been. They making some dough on that $40 parking garage.

They not only have dead money in Bigfoot. But they also screw up PPV so some of their PPV money is dead.

How was the PPV "screwed up"? Worked fine for me.

Why the big draw shot? Rail first on that last hanging nine, three rails right below the ten, natural roll. Why didn’t he do that? Was the nine ball too deep in the pocket for that to work?

He's got a good excuse for losing now though lol I still think he's gonna break up with the US and get a Viet citizenship before long 😂
Such excuses getting old. Sports folks, Hollywood stars break up everyday don't see them use that as excuse for underperforming :ROFLMAO: Didn't Capito win his first WNT so called major when he break up with his ex gf.
This Bigfoot has been hard to watch. I think we have to many tournaments going on. All of them seem to be watered down amateur events. No matter what they call it if it's a open, competition has been weak. Jmo
Watched some of the quarterfinals Day 3 Biado, Yapp. Gorst one was disaster. But still enjoyed 10 ft table more than the Ultimate Pool on easy baby table. I mean top performance 900+ 10 ball on such tough tables is impressive entertaining to watch whereas that those record 10 runouts in that Justin Rodney match seem like no big deal , boring actually :ROFLMAO:
WNT 9 ball becoming a bore with too many easy runouts so they should switch to these Bigfoot tables.

I meant they lose PPV money on Bigfoot when they had to Youtube it, not that the stream is bad

Sounds like you are talking about Gorst's scratch on the hanger 9-ball in Game 18 against Sevastyanov, needing just the 9- and 10-balls to win the match 10-8.

I wouldn't fault Gorst's choice of shots. He had 5 diamonds of side rail to draw into (or short of the rail), except for the side pocket. And, yes, the 9-ball was quite deep in the pocket.
