Now my REVO 12.4 is completely sealed with no seams..If only they made a 11.8 at 30inch without that conical hybrid I would be in heaven with the product.

I have to correct what I stated. With your insistence there is a seam, I went to relook at my Must shaft and the previous Rhino shafts, and yes I can faintly, maybe, see the hint of a seam. You have to really look for it. It's nothing as obvious as the Jacoby that I had, or other pictures of other makers shafts with seams that have been posted. You have to look really, really close, and angle the shaft to light in a certain way to faintly see what could possibly be a seam. It's so well done, you won't see it on first glance, at least on the shafts I have.
While your pictures basically show a glare, I am assuming by eye you can see it.

FW tubes do have seams but they are TINY compared to flag-wrapped. During the sanding/finishing they pretty much disappear.

It conical taper..They say it is..hahaha what are you smoking?
1mm of growth over 12" is a PRO TAPER. Go look at a Predator Z-shaft or just about any 3c shaft. That's a conical taper. A conical taper has basically zero parallel section. Both Rhino's are pro taper, the standard is an extended pro(the one i had was around 16") and the Must is a standard pro taper. Good diagram: https://www.carbonfibercue.com/pro-taper-low-deflection-carbon-fiber-shafts/ BTW, this outfit is one of the largest suppliers of tubes to builders. Wouldn't be surprised if they supply Rhino.

Have you had more time with the shaft? Thoughts, impressions?

I reached out to Rhino a day or so ago. Here was their response:

"Hello xxxxxxxx.
Thank you for your interest in the Must carbon fiber shaft.
At this time, we do not offer custom lengths for the Must shaft, so we are unable to provide a 29 inch version.
I appreciate your understanding. Should you have any further questions, feel free to contact us.

Best regards,

No Rhino for me. 🤷

You don't want it because it 30inches instead of 29?? That's crazy.. People literally get screwed over that 1inch and over pay by hundreds..Your loss.

look at the Raven Pro shaft. 30" and all the joint options. https://ravencue.com/collections/pro-playing-shaft

Correct. I prefer a 29" shaft.
that cat's a tool, threw him on perma ignore. not worth the effort. i like 30" length too. those Raven's have a very good rep. I've msg'd them and they replied pretty quick. you can get a whole cue with ext for under 5bills. everything looks a cut-above Rhino. Raven is a product of ARS Supply in Riverside,Cal. Been in business 50 yrs.

I've owned several of Ravens products. They are good folks.

i watched a video of a Raven Pro shaft and it looks to be very low-squirt. the Rhino i had was just a tad more but very close. if buying again i'm going with Raven. like that they're in the states.

Have you heard of either Wheat State CF shafts or Mike Johnson's ICE shafts?

I have three of Mike's and they play almost as good as my Jacoby BLK V4's (at half the price) and significantly better than my Rhinos. Best part about Mike is that you can get everything customized, length, joint, joint size, joint ring even. He's super communicative and great to work with.

I have not tried a Wheat State yet, but want to get one; everyone I know who plays with one now won't use anything else.

never heard of either one. all these guys are buying tubes and finishing them out. just a matter of finding one you like.

just chk'd the wheat's, those are 500bux. they better be good. no way i'd spend that on a shaft. i read a couple of ICE reviews and they sound ok. Probably not any different than the Raven. What does 'significantly better' than a Rhino mean? That's kind of a vague statement.

Yeah I struggle with any CF maker that is charging over $299 for a locked-in/non-replaceable joint shaft.

Your secret sauce can't be so freaking amazing that you need to charge an additional $200 bucks.... That 500 dollar price point seems like a throwback from the early days CF

I'm not taking the bait and trying "yet another" budget CF shaft. Predator fanboy for life, ask Garczar;) Buy cheap, buy twice.
