They have always done crowd control when the player is down on the ball. This year is different. You can't see that?.

Who misses that 9 so badly?
To overcut it is outrageous.
He's a bundle of nerves.

....and the ref doing nothing about Euro fans screaming the entire time that he's down shooting....which doesn't excuse dogging.

Styer has cost them 3 sets
That's 7 to 1 versus 4 to 4.

marcel did a good job of it yesterday. this is a different guy. only seen him in open events, don't know the name. either way, refs perform different too

People who know pool and Oscar know he is by far a better choice. He doesn't rattle.
 
I just caught up. That was absolutely brutal. Was playing good I thought, but could just see him tightening up and we knew he was going to miss it. (Because we can all relate...) Pretty insane to let the crowd yell like that in that situation.

I hate it for the guy,. He has played relatively well in past MC's. You never know what can cause the yips, but the way he played the entire rack until the nineball shows that his stroke is good...Pressure. This is the kind of thing that could potentially stay with him long after this competition.

So many racks I am looking at the wrong ball after the 3.

And at one point JJ even said “…to get down table to the four.” Then, clarifies (implicit that it actually needs clarification) with “…the PURPLE five”.

Yes, after a few years of purple fives (having played and watched league last night for four hours with traditionally colored pool balls), I am still p*ssed about it. Grrr.

I need to get over myself.

For sure. Tough not think of a scenario where this does not leave a mark on the poor guys mental game moving forward...
