Vizz (or other brand) vision correcting eye drops while playing pool

Just curious if anyone has tried any of the eyedrops that are supposed to help with blurry vision (presbyopia)? Vizz seems to be the most popular brand but there are other on the market.

If you have used them, was it helpful? Did you put them in one or both eyes? If just one, was it your dominate or non-dominate eye?

I had LASIK about 20 years ago and still have good distance vision, but like many over 50 struggle with focus on things that are close and often the edges of the pool balls are not very sharp anymore.

Let me know what your experience has been.

I keep Refresh PF single use strips in my case (and in the truck, hockey bag, backpack, etc), but they're primarily for my dry eyes. They absolutely help, but takes a few minutes for my eyes to clear up after using them.

These aren't like that. short story they make your pupils smaller for about 6-8 hours making a pretty big improvement to near vision. Similar to looking through a pin hole.

The easiest and probably cheapest solution is to visit the reading glasses kiosk at your local drug store and try on pairs of varying strength until you find what sharpens up your vision best at the desired distance. You may want to get two pair: One for seeing at 3-7 feet for pool, and a stronger pair for reading.

Not as cheap, but probably better, is what TN Joe recommends: see an eye professional for a proper refraction geared for near and intermediate distances.

So you’re saying you haven’t tried any corrective eye drops?

Single use is way safer IMO. Less preservative, less chance of contamination and probably better for your eyes long term..
 
Granted they aren't correct eye drops but I've got naturally dry eye's and my eye Dr suggests Systane eye drops which helps me a great deal , you're results may vary . They work way better than the tri focal glasses they convinced me to try , they are sick buggers wanting me to go from sun glasses straight to trifocals for me I swear the ground moves as does a table and depth perception goes out the window !

Yup. I get those because my optometrist told me to. I have sensitive eyes, so i need the PF.
Dryness was a lot worse when i was playing softball 4-5 nights a week. That dust does a number on you. But the MN winter air isn't much better...
