i saw that. one shot later he was in deep deep trouble, and gomez seemingly said something like you may regret being nice, lol

but atencio massé'd out of the snooker and eventually he won the rack

much improved player, atencio. he did not miss many balls in that match.

Those two must know each other really well, they were joking and laughing most of the match. Especially during that snooker-ish exchange on the 1 ball (i think the rack we're referring to).

I think Gomez was pretty reckless with his shot selection in that match. He chased a couple that left me confused and just horribly mis-played a couple more. Seemed like he was behind on position most of the match also.

Atencio's got the whole package. Give him another year or two and he could be up there in the top 10, or even the top 5.
 
filler is tampering with his cueing, for no apparent reason. more practice strokes and shorter cue action, doesn't look as comfortable as before. he's winning against jayson anyway.

darren said he had approached him about his cueing. seems he didn't heed his advice to not change anything
 
Capito is torching Appleton.

Won 4-1 and now on the hill 3-1 second set. Every time Appleton comes to the table he's kicking at something. But when he finally gets an open shot he misses. Meanwhile, Capito is making jump shots like nothing and running out with ease.

I've seen loads of uncharacteristic misses today. Are these Apex tables really playing this tight? I know they're 4.25 and it's humid, but jeez.

I wasn't bored watching Arseni livestreaming his match, so it must be the boring players who take too long and use up the entire 30 seconds per shot. Mario He and Lukas was fun to sweat as well, even though there were misses and not the fastest players.

I can't imagine watching Tyler in this format...
I won't put myself through that

I was not a fan of the format at first, but it is much better than Ultimate Pool, and after seeing in person how the audience gets exited over the shootout, I changed my mind. Even the pro players gathered around a shootout to watch it. When they get to a highish number without missing, everyone goes to look.
