Dominguez vs Guama race to 50 for 80+ per side

few here play for money at all so dont understand it. those that do would throw a fit if it happened to them. at least the winning players would.

They should introduce an event at the derby where every table in the tournament is juiced a different way so part of the challenge of winning is adjusting to the wonkyness of each table.

I wouldn't be playing on a gaffed up table in the first place, What kind of idiot does that?

the player that has it as his home room table and wants it so he can have an edge over a better player.
and the better player concedes it to him as he thinks he can still win and wants the action.

nothing different than negotiating some kind of unusual spot.
its called gambling, and gambling you change the conditions mutually for your benefit if you can before the game starts.

Oscar can run the balls, jump the balls well and break the balls better than his opponent. What else should we talk about?

There is a similar gaff table in Oscar's pool hall. Very tight pockets and every rail banks different.

Oscar has played on it many times for big $$$ amounts.

It's been that way for years but Oscar never bothered to fix it like he did with Guama's table.

I wonder why.

and which one is this? i watch the streams from time to time

I doubt any here would proceed with a big money match on their home table after someone from out of town monkeyed around with their table right before said match. It happened... but it shouldn't 'av, IMO
A competent table mechanic tightening a few rail bolts is (was) not a deal breaker.

Just fix your table for Christ's sake

The same kind that says no bet when they find out that the gaffe has been fixed. The same kind that wears a watch on the outside of their dress shirt cuffs, just to show it off.

I'm not letting it happen before a match on a table I've agree to play on.

If you decide that's OK for you... you're nuts.

and I doubt
you're dumb enough
to let it happen

None of us are scumbags with gaffed up tables

I don't understand why a player is a scumbag because the house equipment is lacking.

I think all of us have played on equipment less than ideal -- sometimes every table in the house has issues.

Please explain.

I'm a dumb nut then, because I've done exactly that. I happen to also be a table mechanic and don't have any issue making a table play better any time I'm able to.
I'm not conceited enough to think a match is going to hinge on how tight the rail bolts on the table are. I have much bigger issues to worry about with my game.

So this happened in some dump poolroom?

But, but… if the deal was to play on the table as is, are you saying it’s OK to fiddle with it?!

Lou Figueroa

Who is saying that, lol?

But let me just ask you: are you saying that the player in question purposely messed up the table? Because your posts would seem to indicate that that is what you believe…
