The what did you get pool related for christmas 2025 thread

Nothing yet, but I’ve got my eyes on an unreasonably expensive piece of wood I plan to send to a cuemaker friend to work his magic.

My wife gave up trying to get me cues years ago after a search for “bluegrass cues” bore basically no fruit, and she just encourages me to get them myself now. I appreciated her trying.
Yeah, pool equipment is a difficult thing for a spouse to get us, so it is just easier to buy it ourselves. I think most all of the posters here have specific enough preferences that it is hard to shop for us and unless our spouse is really into pool (my wife isn’t) it is easy to get the wrong thing etc….

Yeah, my wife said no way she is buying pool stuff for me... Although she did look for a new set of balls for me. She likes the look of the Aramith black. Then she saw the price 🙄

My son bought me some new cloth for the Gc3.

they just bought this cloth for the tables at the bar I play out of .. I’m wondering how it’s going to hold up long term because I know it was less expensive than simonis. I never heard of it until they got it lol It’s fast as all get out though thats for sure.

I spent yesterday recovering my table... Nota a Christmas gift per say. It was a gift from Wes Burden...a table mechanic out of Tampa. I met him at the Florida Open. He had set up the tables and was watching a match when I struck up a conversation with him. Come to find out, he is from my hometown in MS and I went to school with his sister! So he was kind enough to send me some Simonis 860!

My Christmas gift to me was a Mike Gulyassy jump break Sledgehammer cue that I've enjoyed using it complements my playing cue is also a Mike Gulyassy cue both were used when I got them but I'm ok with that . These were both gifts to me to celebrate my being cancer free and surviving the treatments since my parents weren't as fortunate , may God rest their souls !

not just pool equipment but anything with a certain specifics on an item is something that they are scared of even getting. even if she knows I wanted a Custom cue, she wouldn't know the specifics that I wanted on it.

I haven’t heard that name in a long time. Not since he sold the rights to his sledge hammer series of cues to McDermott.. he had one of the only jump break cues that did both well.

Got myself a BK Rush from the official Predator Cues page for the sub 12 hours it was in stock. I was actually waiting for the BK4, I browsed on the site and saw the fabled "in stock" under the no wrap black rush. Impulse hit me hard along with a bit of extra cash lying around. I wanted to have a nice break cue to match my recent Predator revo and sneaky acquisition.

My friend surprised me with the case as kind of a meme, he said "now you're fully predator sponsored!". I put the sticker that came with the BK Rush package on the case as the final touches of my "sponsorship" lol.

(side note, there's one new BK4 left on eBay from Nielsen Billiards, if anyone was waiting on one)

I had that same case for years . I mean YEARS until I recently replaced it with a jb. It went all over with me and it held up great and is still in great condition. Imo predator makes a good case for the money.

@Hail Mary Shot
nice pick up , imho the fortis pro is among the top 3 best after market shafts out there.

@bpeacock
the table looks great with that grey, plus those pockets look real friendly .😉

@Poolhall60561
Ive been curious about them centros , plz share a review on how it performs once you get some time in with it.
