People who use chalk holders...what do you do when

Your excused :)
I thought you were a woman because of the picture.
I've know quite a few women named Billie.

I make a spacer to lift the chalk. I inlay a magnet to keep the chalk secure.

Yeah, but if you play for many hours with you hand in/out of your pocket a few hundred times it damages your skin, and the pocket bottom will become unthreaded.
It's why men's jeans have those small r/s pockets. HEAVY coins always works it's way thru the pocket bottom threads.
I thought they were "watch pockets"

I use the kamui chalk shark without the rubber holder that came with it. I bought a bunch of magnets online and just super glue one to the bottom of my chalk. I’ve never had an issue and you can dial in how tightly your chalk is held by buying a stronger/weaker magnet.
So what do you do with the chalk when you're done shooting? I like the holder because I use the cover cap that came with it and put it in my pocket or case. No mess👍

Don't worry about chalk in your pocket last time i checked it comes out in the wash .

I use the kamui chalk shark so it just clips back on to my belt via the magnet.

*Edit* exactly like loggerhead has it pictured above. I use the dust cap when I put it back in my case to keep the chalk from getting all over the inside of my case.

I never knew that there was such a thing as a magnetic chalk holder until I watched a match that Margarita Fefilova was playing years ago in the pre-Steyer days. She had the clip on her rear pocket, so it was hard to miss when she was down on a shot lol.

When I was playing league I switched from bar chalk to carrying my own (Blue Diamond) because the doofs that were playing league insisted on drilling a hole in the chalk and that made it hard to wipe it over the tip instead. Being ADD, I kept leaving the chalk on the table at the venue since I had never been in the habit of packing it in my case.

So I got a no-name magnetic holder at a tournament booth. First problem, the magnet was not strong enough, kept falling off so I put a very strong coin type magnet under the chalk and although it helped the retention quite a bit, it still falls off once in a while. Second problem, a couple times I could not find it on the floor because it had stuck to a metal chair leg.

But it is still a win because there is only one place, ok... maybe more than one  for it to be since I don't sit it on the table anymore.

I use round Taom V10 and keep it in a standard square holder. It doesn’t fall out.

As it wears down I put some paper towel under it to bring it level to the holder surface. Coins were too heavy and caused the chalk to fall out.

Not rocket science.

Check out Dr V's magnetic chalk holders, strongest magnet I have ever seen in a chalk holder, had mine for at least 2 years, the pocket clip is great too, worth every penny.

I use a chalk pouch. Just pop your chalk in and you're good to go. No fiddling with magnets or trying to get the chalk out of the holder when it's worn down. Strange they're not more popular Stateside.

I bought one
And the magnet was stronger 💪 than me 🤓

How do people not get chalk all over their fingers pulling it out of your pocket?

Anyway, always seemed strange to me

reminds me of darren appleton in his prime. he was a pocket chalker and also a walker chalker, with the cue dragging on the floor. hands always grubby and blue, like efren's.

i've always tried to avoid it because i like irish linen wrap

Made mine with cutaway finger grip for more precise chalking and easier to get the press fit cover on and off.....TPU being rubber like is also more comfortable and holds up better than PLA.... I just leave the chalk on the table during a match (which actually is a distraction as I have to watch for thieving eyes walking by) and (cover on)in my pocket between matches.
