Tournament fees are out of control

So? If you sign up to play in a tourney & win do you keep the money?

You do you.

You do play singles on the barbox?
Of course I keep it. What I meant was, just because there's a chance to win a lot of money is not enough to entice me to play. What entices me is the level of competition and equipment.

I can see how others would find scotch doubles barbox fargo-handicap fun though, if you are a casual player and not serious about enhancing your game to the next level and comfortable with your complacent skill level.

Sure I play on the barboxes occasionally, only because 9ft table 9ball tournaments are basically non-existent.

Winning a prestigious trophy in a highly skilled field of players would mean more to me than any dollar amount. Most pool players are broke anyways so I'm just preaching to the choir.

Judging someone on how much disposable income they have ain't cool. My dad never had extra money but it's because he spent every dime he made (working two jobs) on his family and not himself.
Huh? I wasn't judging him.

Kinda crazy as in unbelievable, sad, unfortunate, etc.

It shouldn't be that way. I would never bash someone who worked their entire life to support their family. Shoutout to your dad.

I've come across many pool players who are degenerates, make poor financial decisions and unable to efficiently manage their money.

Hunter Lombardo would like to have a word with you 😂😂
i don't know sh-t about him except he is a touring pro that likely doesn't make enough to even break even with his full expenses. if that is true then he isn't a pro. and is wasting his time unless he is playing for fun. and thats okay.

Hunter gives lessons, which can help. An instructor I know makes over $100k/year on lessons, but I don't know if Hunter is that active. Lessons can bring in over $100/hour and clinics (8-20 students) can bring in a lot more per hour.

Hunter charges ~$200 per hour and I see him giving lessons around the clock.

You will come across those people no matter what you are doing. I don't think the pool community has more of these than any other broad, blue collar community.

The only place he's traveling to is the one-loss side 😂
Just how fkn good do you play? You seem to take great joy in knocking players that you'd give your left nut to play like. Been around railbirds like you my entire pool life. They love to talk shit about how little a player makes or them being a degenerate gambler but when they go home to mommie's basement all they dream about is playing as good as them.
