There is no tee time in pool
Players have been calling it that for as long as i've been playing. What do you call it? 'Opening break time' or something just as lame? Always nice to have the peanut gallery chime in. Props bro.

I'm just pullin the dude's chain. I grew up in pool rooms and on golf courses where giving/getting the needle was expected. Some are just too thin skinned to fade it. You get it and that's cool.
Tee time works fine as well as "Green flag waves at 7", signifying the time the race will start.
It's not like the reader isn't going to understand what you wrote.

Has nothing to do with the city. It's the group of guys. They take sharking to a level that would make most people want to have a barefoot jumping jacks contest on a pile of legos than play with them.

not NY in itself.. it's a specific group of dominicans (not the monks). this lot is banned from DCC iirc. you will most likely see them if it's there the match is
I believe he's the best player from the DR. A cool cat. Here's a recent match from somewhere in NYC - watch the last game, not sharking it's a crowd having a freaking good time. Hey this is not what you call robotic pool:
