Fedor Gorst - looking for action in Louisville, KY tomorrow. If you could - would you?

Sometimes folks enjoy stepping up to the plate for a chance to play a champion. Fedor would be the toughest of action for anyone, but it would be fun to play him some.

He seems to have lost a little sparkle since his parting of the ways with Kristina, but I admire the maturity that both of them have displayed, being in the public spotlight.

Yeah, many play and pay the wager just to get the experience playing a world class player. Sometimes to experience the pressure of not able to give out many opportunities and also just to say that "I've done it, didn't get the t-shirt for my money".

Agreed also, that after they split with Kristina, Fedor hasn't been in his usual 100% focus flow. He genuinely seems to be a nice guy and perhaps needs someone to back him up emotionally. For many having a steady healthy relationship also provides the goodies on the table.

>>> Looking for practice sets tomorrow in Louisville, KY area. $100 sets min, one pocket or banks preferably. Can do rotation games or we can alternate every set.

Obviously he's looking for practice ahead of the DCC. If you're an experienced 1P or Banks player - then what a chance. $100 to play one of the best players in the world - at a game that you probably play more than he does.

Sure - he's going to be fav to win but man, I think you'd have to risk the $100 for the experience. I would anyway if he was in my town. Would you?
So stand in line to pay 100 dollars to play a couple games with him. I'd rather play 20 dollar sets with someone that I can compete with, I don't get the draw.

The reason is because you might learn something!!!! Maybe it'll help you get out of the sucker class? When SVB comes to Houston he does the same thing, he also gives players tips and pointers on their game.
How many of those people have become champions or even a ball better? Id bet exactly zero.

Giving your $$$ to a pro puts you exactly in the sucker class.

Remember - if you can't spot the sucker - it's you

Why doesn't he just go up to folks in Louisville and ask, "Can I hold $100?"

Playing with no chance to win is nothing more than donation and I don’t quite understand why anyone would be interested in that. Now if he wants to play some Banks and give me 5-4 as well as giving me 3 to 1 odds on the money I could be persuaded to get in the box.
I agree. He's not really "looking for action". He's looking for donations while he practices. I'd respect him more if he posted something like "if I don't know you, I'll give up the 7 and 8 in 9 ball or 10-6 in one pocket". Then, at least a decent shortstop would have a fighting chance. He'd probably even enjoy it more if he was pushed / pressured a little.

If he gave me a spot I think I could be competitive with, I'd enjoy playing one of the best players ever and wouldn't be upset about losing a few hundred for the experience. I wouldn't enjoy donating knowing I had no chance and feeling like a complete nut hugger though.

Interesting look. From a sales point, no salesman would cut anything so fair. I imagine any such discussion would have the bet moving skyward over one tenth of that spot.
Shannon Daulton 30 yr ago or so, at the PCA event/CJ's place.... would give Amarillo Slim I think it was 13-4 or 13-3 and play him one pocket $300 a rack.
If he wants donations, that's that.
Doesn't seem like something a player of his caliber would do $100 sets even, feels like sponsor talk.
I think he'd like to play a good player/spot em and make em work.
